I have the GM1520B installation kit for my 2008 chevy aveo but not sure if it will fit because there is another one out there for the Aveo5 which is mine.

There are like three bolts holding the entire starter assembly in. The wires to it are large to carry a lot of amperage. There are basically two and they will have learned the position they are bolted on. remove them and then replace the old unit with the new and the wires will want to go back tot heir old positions. If you are uncomfortable doing this then don't. I did this once on a Ford 460 on a freeway on ramp. It is very quick and easy. If you are talking about the headlight casing, where the clear headlight casing connects to your back headlight casing, that isn't the way to change the light bulb, you're going to damage the seals that protect water, and humidity.

a back pressure test is a hole drilled before the converter and a Gage installed anything 1.5 psi or more means your cat is clogged don't forget there is a reason for it to clogs you need to find the source
I don't understand how a 2008 vehicle is still under warranty? It's 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first. So I don't think you can do the 'lemon' thing. Sounds like you need to find a better shop!
that is an electrical problem there is a sensor malfuntion that is telling the onboard computer in the car that it is unsafe to drive even though it may be fine it is locking you out in park. it most times will do this if there is a short circit in the brake lights
