I hooked up my eq but no sound out of my speakers
I had the same problem with mine I had an old Kenwood EQ hooked up an it worked fine. Then I hooked up the clarion EQ the same way and I had power but no sound. I took it out and exchange it for another one and the same thing, no sound. I don't know why my Kenwood would work in my car but the Clarion wouldn't. I could use some help too.
More info would be nice...
what did you hook it up to?

Same problem. I noticed I could get it to work if my switch line was BELOW 11.75 volts. With the car running, lights on, AC on, fan on high, I could switch on my rear window defogger and it would come on. As soon as I turned the fan down or the AC off, sound was gone again. With the car off I could turn on my lights or turn the fan spped up or even the 4 way flashers and it would come on. I could understand if it worked with a higher voltage and not with it low. I will keep working on it and let you know if I find anything out.
lights turn on but no sound
hi i have a prob wit my 746 clarion eq. when i start my van i lost the bass and as soon i turn my van off it works fine.i would like to know if its aprob wit my eq please.
My 03 corolla is having the same exact issue. My friend has a 06 xb and he had the same problem. What he did was tie in a 12v zenor diode to the power out on the clarion eq. this fixed his issue but not mine. My friend also has a late 90s 4 runner and he doesn't have this issue
Had the same problem here. A quick fix I found was to disconnect the EQ from the +12v line coming from the battery and supply power by connecting the Remote lead to both REM and +12v ports on the EQ (a simple wire bridging the two did the trick). EQS746 works great now.
