Entire refridgerator stopped working - Samsung RF265AA Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator

I have a Kenmore model 253 freezer/refridgerator upright model. I am getting cold spots in the refridgeration in and near the vegetable drawers on the bottom of the refridgerator. The icemaker works but the water dispensor has stopped working too.

check your damper vent door located between the fridge and freezer and make sure its opening up to let cold air into the fridge,also check the evaporator fan motor and make sure its operating to blow the air around the inside of the unit

Sounds as if the compressor is not running even tho the fans are. The overload relays on the side of the compressor are usually the source of this problem. They are on the side of the compressor and if you change these out you should be fine. Fairly easy to do as it should just be a plug connecting it. Hope this helps.

On your model that is an indication that the mother control board is defective. Unplug and remove the panel on the rear of the refrigerator tat covers the mother board. Take it out far enough to examine both sides for burn marks on both signs or heat damage. Let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze

It sounds like you have a failing relay/valve that wont stay open when current is passed through them, check there first otherwise your control board could have water/heat damage remove inspect and if necessary replace let me know how it goes :)

I have the same problem. Freezer is okay, but refrigerator is not cooling.

Sounds like thatyou refrigerator has leaked out the refrigerant. If you have a condenser i.e. cage on the back , place your hand over it and see if it is warm if it is not then if deffinaltey the gas.

this is not a diy job and you will need an engineer with relevant qualifications..

ok,is the freezer fan working?is there frost buildup in the freezer?it sound like you have a defrost problem whick means your defrost timer,defrost heater or defrost sensor has failed,you need to check all the defrost parts to pin point the problem,let me know what you find-mike
