Weighmax W-L396 wont turn on at all... not sure what to do.... got it at frys its been about 1 week since i got it, lost my receipt but payed with my debt card should i take it back and get another?

The most likely reason is it needs new batteries. The secondary reason would be bad connection inside. A final answer is putting it on a surface that is not flat and stable coupled with a non-distinct switch on.

If you bought it at WalMart they will still exchange it without the receipt.

Not all the WeighMax bathroom scales take the same kind of battery. If your scale is one of them listed on the web page cited above, click or tap on the link for the information on the scale and look for the information on Power to find out the kind of batteries needed.

I do not find any instructions for where to find the battery compartment on any WeighMax bathroom scale. Therefore, I suggest you contact WeighMax Technical Support and ask. Of course , this is the only way for you to have all your documentation in order . Make sure to go to the branch with all other receipts for proof of past payments which should give the teller all loan numbers and requirement to retrieve missing documentation . Best of luck

Usually a lens error refers to the lens not being able to focus in and out due to grit or sand in the gears of the camera. Was this what they repaired before?

Without a receipt, I would think that they would be able to look it up. But, if they don't have that capability or policy, you may have to pay for the repair again, or just get another camera to replace if it's too much economically.

if you can boot up to the desk top
try a desktop monitor plugged into the laptop
if it looks good on the monitor, then i would check the ribbon cable hooked into the lcd
there should tape on the cable ,
every time you open and close the lid,
the ribbon cable can loosen up

Have you ever noticed that when some bad guy is being looked for , did something pretty bad, that the authorities have records of "EVERYTHING" the guy did, even months ago? They come up with receipts, security camera footage, etc. Well how about this ?? "If they can do this for the bad guys, why can't they do it for the good guys ??"No receipt? you'll be on video, and if you press the store for that, they can easilygo back in their records. Also, did you pay cash, or did you pay with debit card, or credit card? They will certainly have records.

Lastly, something I learned from my Grandmother. When all else fails, put the smart phone & computer a way, pull out some white paper, see if you still have a blue ink ball point pen, and write a polite letter to the Head of Sony Marketing, something like that, and explain your problem, as a loyal, but upset customer, who just wants to be treated fairly. I am telling you that while it doesn't work "everytime", it sure does work a lot ! Just 1 old fashioned, hand written letter, is worth more than 100 emails, that are just so simple to do, and really, how often do we really respect them, in the ocean of junk that keeps flowing? Most people are "good people", and the head sales folks, often take an interest when a legitimate grievance comes their way. By the way, you'd be surprised when you send a hand written note about something you really liked as well, as "Free stuff, just feels, looks, or tastes BETTER !!"

A couple of weeks ago, a certain "Margarine Company", had this 50% lighter Margarine, so I bought it, and on my raisin toast, it was like water, it turned 1/2 of it into mush !
I did what I just said you should do, I w rote to them, and in 8 days I had a cheque for $12.00 ! Not much, but they did the right thing. Stand up for yourself, be polite, and honest, and you just watch what happens, OK?
