This Happened After An Update That said You needed The Update And It was Incompatible With You hardware. Go To Device manager And Roll back The Audio Driver To The Driver before he Most Current. And manually Change it back To The Other Driver. Hopefully This will Solve Your Problem. That has Happened to me on Many Different Computers unning Vista, XP Pro And XP Pro 64. It Is Most Likey Conextent.

How to factory reset acer aspire 5610 alt + f10 not working

There is no way to reset if you cannot get into the Alt + F10 partition, if you can boot into windows ok then it can be factory defaulted by entering the Acer recovery manager, but if not then you will have to keep trying as it can be difficult to get into, i personally find pressing both keys together once every second does the trick and it has to remain constant, when you see the white line across the bottom of the screen stating "windows is loading files" then simply follow on screen instructions.

Restore to original settings

Save any files or folders on your Acer Aspire One with flash drives.
Drag and drop files onto the icon of your flash drive. Go to "Start" > "Restart" to reboot your netbook. Hold down "Alt" and "F10" when you see the Acer logo on the screen. The recovery menu will load. Hit "Enter" and then "Next" to see your recovery options. Choose "Factory Restore" to set your netbook back to factory settings. Follow the instructions on the screen. Choose your time zone and language when the customization menu appears. Reboot the netbook when you are prompted. Restore your saved files from the flash drive. Hoe this helps.

Blue screen & rebooting

Sounds like you need to reinstall your OS. Warning: you will loose any data on this laptop, and it will be reset to factory settings.

Hold down Alt - F10 right when you turn it on, and it will enter recovery mode. Follow the directions and it will be reset to how it was when you took it out of the box :)

Which F key do I use to reformat my Acer Aspire One A 150 netbook?

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

The first thing you need to do is save all of your pictures and files that you have on your computer to your email or upload them to another account that stores them. When you factory reset an Acer, it wipes it clean of everything you have downloaded on it. THIS IS PERMANENT ONCE FACTORY RESTORE IS DONE.

Turn your computer off.
Restart your computer.
When the Acer screen comes up, press and hold Alt+F10.
Keep pressing F10 repeatedly while keeping the Alt button pressed down.
You will be asked how you want to reset your computer.
Press Factory Restore.
This may take up to an hour.

If you are asked to enter a pass code, enter your pass code or 000000.

Hit okay.

My acer aspire 4810t says no bootable device

enter BIOS - you will see a mesage when you first turn on laptop tellign you to press a key to enter setup. Do this and make sure HDD is listed. if it is, you might have todo a recovery.

Turn on laptop, then immediatly press ALT + F10 keep finger on ALT and press F10 a few times, this will start the recovery process. some ask if you want to re-install windows or full factory reset. Windows install will only repair it - full factory reset will delete any data you have! so be careful
