Sound My tv is showing picture but the sound isn't coming on and it was working when the cable was plug to it and I tried to watch a DVD and then somehow the sound isn't working now

The problem isn't with your TV, its with the cable company.
Call the cable company, problem is most likely with your digital box or a signal problem.

The problem is usually from the power or the Y sustain at the left or right side of the display when one of the large capacitor or heat sync on the capacitor even the flat power cable connection it to a main power board needs to be checked too, if the fuses on the board are blown it will need to be replaced

But after replacingthe fuses and the capacitors and still no solution,youwill need to replace the all board ..

You can also trouble shoot first before going to the board of the TV..

While being able to hear sound coming from your LCD television but seeing no picture may seem serious on the surface, fixing the problem involves checking a few different settings to make sure everything is set properly

Reset all picture settings on the TV to their original factory default settings to see if that fixes the problem.


Try another channel. If you're watching TV and not getting a picture, the first thing you should do is check a variety of random channels to make sure it is a problem with your TV and not with your television signal. Hi. Definitely call your cable provider. They will reestablish the signal to you. There is nothing you can do yourself. J.

You can try out by connecting the CVBS (Yello) out from player to TV and connect HDMI out from Player to TV. Goto CVBS input on Sony TV. Select set up and you should get the HDMI Video options availble. Try to change the resulution and check for Video on HDMI source.
Which disc you were playing PAL or NTSC? PAL should work for Europe.

Make sure none of the Digital or Component Input Assignments are programmed, if you're not using them. Set them to "----". This may help. Some of the Component input assignments may over-ride your other input assignments (perhaps even the HDMI input assignments).

You may have to access the initial setup menu to force the set to look at the cable input. Although that is typically the default today, it may be looking for signals from an antenna. Broadcast and cable use different frequency ranges so the set has to be able to see the range you are trying to watch.  

Does your sound go thru the tv or a sound system ??? when ya turn tv off then on does it show anything like its coming on ??
