Can't use treadmill. the programming seems stuck
I had the SAME problem, several time, with my NordicTrack A2250 Treadmill.
Allow it to go fully up and then fully down several times, without turning it off. IT seems to "cycle" that way 3 times and then "reboots" itself and starts working normally, again.
I had to figure this out myself... none of the suggestions I read worked.

Hello there, The first thing I would try is to calibrate the incline on the unit.
Do this using the following procedure.
With the safety key out, press the stop button along with the speed up button while inserting the safety key onto the unit.
remove your fingers from all buttons, Then press the stop button one time. Now press the incline up button one time.
The unit should go all the way to the top, then return to the bottom.
Remove the safety key and reinsert it to continue using the machine
If this does not work you can manually move the machine to the bottom using this procedure.
Remove the hood cover b removing 2 screws in the rear of the machine and removing the first 2 screws on the foot rails on each side.
You can now lift the cover out of the way.
At this point you will see the incline motor located in the center of the unit pointing in a downward direction.
On the top of the motor there will be a small fan encased inside of a metal cover. There will be a flat head screw located inside the metal frame where the fan is. Rotate this clockwise to lower the unit. (the motor is geared very high it may not seem as though it is moving but it is) be patient that procedure does take a little while.
Any questions please feel free to leave another message on this link.
Good Luck! Tim

Unplug your unit take the motor shroud off and you will see a circuit board (Motor Control Board) their should be L E D s on the board. Now plug your unit in and you will see these light up if you have a second pair of hands that can help you have them press you incline controls.
You should see one of these L E D s light up followed with a click of a relay this activate the incline motor some of these boards will have a 3 amp fuse to protect the board from damage , if you see a open fuse replace it with the same exact fuse. If it blows again either you have a shorted armature winding or the worm screw is frozen. I would call Smooth Fitness, depending wiether this was made by either Sports Art Fitness or Keys Finess they will direct you to theproper parties.

If the incline is stuck, it could be a problem as simple as the gearbox on the motor being jammed. Unplug the treadmill remove the motor shroud then remove the incline motor from the treadmill, reconnect the wiring, plug in the treadmill and then try to run the incline motor outside the treadmill. Many times, this will unjam it if that is the problem and then reinstalling it in the treadmill will get it to work. If you have the same problem or it doesn’t run outside the machine and you can hear it try to work, you need to replace the incline motor.
If the incline motor does not move, we need to figure out if the motor is getting voltage. Use a simple multi-meter and set it to AC volts. When you put it into calibration, it tries to calibrate the directions one at a time. Measure across the white and black wires first, then measure across the white and red wires second. If the motor is getting voltage you will read 120VAC (or
thereabouts) one one of the measurements. If you have voltage but the motor won't move, you need to replace the motor.
.
If the incline motor does not move and you have done the voltage test and you do not have any voltage present, there is a problem in the electronics board that supplies the power, you need to replace the board.

it is trying to calibrate itself, let it go the whole way up and then down without interrupting it. Then it should be fine.
