I have a fahrenheat wall mounted heater, 120 v model,(can't find a model number on the unit) with a dial temp control. No matter which number setting it is on, the unit cycles off after about 50 seconds. It heats, the fan blows, but it doesn't stay on. An amber light comes on when it shuts off. After about 5 minutes it will cycle on again but for less than 1 min. It didn't do this when I installed it new, which was in 1994 or 95. What's the problem

THERE IS A FAN DISK NORMALLY OPEN TO UNTILL IT GETS HOT AND CLOSES TO TURN ON FAN.  IF THE FAN SWITCH TAKES TO LONG TO CLOSE THEN LIMIT OPENS TO PROTECT FROM OVER-HEATING

Fahrenheat ffh1614 wall heater gets bright orange and way too hot

You need to check the breakers or the actual power because I see the 1614 model as being 240 Volts. Unless you can change that rating inside the unit itself and it has been set to 120 Volts. IT appears from the wiring code you listed that the building wires are 120 volts. However a meter would be the definitive answer. When you are running 240 or higher (double phase) Black and Red are hot and white is neutral If it is 110 then black is hot and white is neutral. Since I cannot tell from the description posted whether the red is source or inside the heater, you really need a volt meter.

How to wire unit baseboard heater to the power to thermoster

That is a portable unit and should not be hard-wired and controlled by a wall-mounted thermostat. The unit may never cut off that way.

It is considered a "space heater" not an area heater.

Thermostat for Fahrenheat 5000Watt Ceiling mount heater

You could do it. It would mean serious wiring though and you should use the factory thermostat because it is designed to operate on 240 Volts. Or you could use a remote thermostat at low voltage to throw a relay in the heater and get it to come on. The manual has good diagrams on how it is wired and it would not be too hard to do. IT would operate just like the outside unit on an HVAC system .

Can someone please tell me what is the lowest temperature setting a Fahrenheat 3000 Watt Large Room Fan-Forced Wall Heater Model FZL3004 will turn on at ?

about the only way I can figure is to let the room get very cool and adjust the thermostat to its lowest setting. now turn on the unit. monitor the heat until the stat just opens. the thermostat bimetal will be closed and will open when the bimetal expands and opens its contacts. another way is to hitch up a chart recorder to measure temperature with its output connected to the heater. [too expensive for you or the DIY to accomplish]

Fahrenheat 4000 watt wall mounted heater shuts off and needs reset

the reset is probably an inline circuit breaker. if you can get hold of am amprobe clamp around ammeter, check the current when the unit is running at full power. the reading you get check against the current rating of the inline breaker. your fan motor bearings may be dry increasing the current draw of the unit and tripping the breaker. try oiling the fan bearings with a light oil NOT WD-40.
