Sidekick wont turn on

My sidekick id wont turn on. it'z in good condition but it wont turn on. what would be the problem and is it worth getting fixed?

    i have had my sidekick id since december 4, 2007 and it has been workin perfectly fine ever since i got it. i didnt get it wet or anything but one day last week it just shut off and i charged it but it wont turn on! what do i do?

    my sidekick id wont turn on nomore one day it froze up and i took the battery out it and then i put it back in and the round button turns green every time i put the battery back in but my phone wont turn on

Buy a new kind of sidekick thats not the id or 3! but try the charging cradle it worked for my friend but not for me!

If you can, try a friends battery, either from a sidekick ID or sidekick 3. The Sidekick ID seems to be having the same issue as the sidekick 3 whefre the charging port goes bad. The best worka round for that is to get a charginfg cradel that has a spare battery slot.

Sounds like you unit is not charging. The Sidekick ID's are notorious forthat. If you have a friend that has a sidekick ID or Sidekick 3, see ifyou can try their battery to make sure you phone is working ok.

If so, your best option is to get an external charger that has a sparebattery slot That way you can charge the battery outside the phone!They run about 25-30 dollars on ebay. an extra battery is a good idea so you can have one charger at all times.

Sidekick id
-take a battery out for 2 mins then put it back in. -switched it on and see if the screen is visible. (dont be freak out if everything gone, it will come back in fews so give it some times to have them back up again *contacts, notes, etc etc*)
if nothing worked, then youre more than likely looking at get a new screen for sidekick id.
you can find some around on ebay for cheaper or broken id with a good screen in a good condition.

Side Kick Id
A replacement LCD Screen for the Sidekick ID runs from 45-60 dollars. That is on ebay which is the only place I have seen them for sale.

Phone wont charge

The sidekick ID charging port can go bad like the sidekick 3's. An easy workaround is to get an external cradle that has a spare battery charging slot.

The trick is that the sidekick 3 and sidekick ID batteries are the same so the sidekick ID battery can be charged by the external cradle. An extra battery is a good idea as well so you can have ine charging at all times.

Is it a sidekick ID? If you bought if from t-mobile and it hasn't got wet or been dropped then call T-mobile CC. IT should still be under warranty. Do you have a friend that has a sidekick 3 or a sidekick ID that you can try the battery from(they are the same) What type of charging cradle, one witht the spare battery charging slot? Phone will not turn on
Sounds like your charger port is busted. Ti is a common problem on sidekick 3 and can effect sidekick IDs as well. A fairly cheap workaround is to get an external battery charger. It will have a slot to charge the sidekick battery external formthe phone. They sell on ebay fior about 25 dollars.

The sidekick ID and sidkeick 3 batteries are the same so it will work. Check then out here
