I have a Kenmore Elite Dishwashe, Model1378, had it for almost a month. The soap is always left in the dispenser. I read on the net to try the Cascade Gel Pacs, which I just did, and it appears to have worked. This dishwasher was #3 on Consumer Reports ratings, and I know they like this detergent specifically. My question is, it appears to me that the dispenser door doesn't open all the way because of the upper rack, and that's why you have to use this type of soap. Also, makes me think that's why CR didn't catch it. Have any of you heard about this? Thanks for your help. Also, its not my hot water, which is 120 degrees, and I run it before turning the washer on.
Our dishwasher is not working, for example,
when ever i click on quick rinse it will automaticaly go on pot and pans
Its possible to have a faulty dispenser, but i would look for other reasons first. Im a big powder user and proponent. powder just breaks down better in hot water.Have found that by using the tabs(whoch im sure the gel packs could give same issue) that they dont really fitting the dispenser as well they're a little tight to close the door and the spring action of the dispenser is sometimes not enough with te extra pressure from the tablets.also ck to make sure youre loading it correctly and nothing is blocking the water form spraying into the cup fully emptying it

Well, I just read from Sear's that the dispenser door is not supposed to open all of the way. So is there another reason or could I have a faulty dispenser?
Kenmore DW. soap door stopped opening. When I manually turn timer it clicks and opens but not on its own. Timer is turning.
DW about 15 years old and this is first problem I have had.
