Sony KV t29. worked well for years and suddenly stopped working....dead. When you switch on all you hear is a "bshh" sound then a ticking/pulse (about 2 per second) around the psu and eht side. Can't see any dry joints nor sign of overheating parts (by touch). I'm hoping someone has had a similar experience and can help. I have no diagrams . Plse help. much appreciated...Kind regards Marcie57
Excellent job
Check the horizontal output transistor for short. if so then check main regulator ICs for short and white .1ohm resistor for open. also check horizontal transformer for cracked solder as this is the cause for failure
if you look at the deflection board from the bottom side. the regs and resistor are on the left side of board on other side a large transformer. they ar e3 legged devices. the resistor is acting like a fuse and can be easily seen from the top side. check all components and see where you get. remember to check the horizontal transformer for cracks, should be near C4927 i think that it is a 6 pin trans that is where the fail started.
