Descaling a delonghi magnifica ESAm04

Fixes in the link. The crackling is probably limescale, it needs descaling. It is it is like electric crackling, call for service. Put the side of your little finger against the machine. If you can feel the crackling, it is limescale in the boiler.

put your descale mixture in 1 litre water in your water tank on coffee machine set machine on descale then after finish, put 1 litre clean water for rinsing. the all ready for coffee.

This is factory preset and cannot be altered. You do need to use the "clean" function on the milk frother unit to ensure the boiler and pipes heat up enough also.

The most possible problem is that the machine have build up scale both in boiler and in pipe system. Your are still in good chance to solve it easily since it operates normal by performing a good descaling of the machine. You can buy a very good product posibly from ebay like the Urnex DEZCAL which is an excelent descaler and if you perform a couple of descling procedures in a period of one week your machine will perfom better and better.

Run the hot water tap till it comes good.

100ml of descaler per tank of water. then they say 1 rinse, but I have to rinse 5 times to not taste the descaler anymore.

Hello, you can buy descaling tablets at your local Starbucks. There is also a liquid descaling solution (small bottles) you can buy anywhere.

At the moment I'm using Jura brand descaling tablets I purchased at Starbucks. For instructions on how to descale (quite simple really), see here on p-17 at:
