I have a 65" mitsubishi television and have problem with half the screen. Half the screen is out of focus with the green color outlining images and letters. The other half of the screen is working fine. Thanks

The tv have a problems known as a tv convergence pictures problems,it is dead.Tv set have any colors lines like R,G,B mis alingnments,have colors shadows pictures or a 3D pictures look alike?Yes,than the tv set convergence board it is dead to causes all these pictures problems.The tv set convergence board must have to be repair like replacing 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fixed the tv set convergence board to solved the tv set covergence pictures problems.The tvs shops will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
Replace the two convergence Ics they are STK392-110 if your model is the 53FDX20B you can get replacement Ics with installation instructions at the following link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
If you follow the instructions on the other thread, you should be able to resolve the problem. Try the simple stuff first. Resolder the pins of the convergence ICs and see if that alone resolves the problem. Sometimes that is all it takes.

hey i have had the same prob on my other tv .it was about 300 to get it fixed.if you havent allready fixed it and if your not to fare away,id like to buy the screen
Use the Setup menu to select English or Spanish as the language for the menus and on-screen displays. Adjust Color Balance Automatically or manually (PerfectColor TM) using six colors, Magenta, Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan and Blue. Reset the Color Balance to the factory default settings. Align the focus (convergence) of the TV's projected light beams or reset the focus to the factory default settings.

Sounds like a convergence issue. Call Sony for an ASC that can come out and give you an estimate. You are probably looking at $200-400 to do the repair.
