You have a restriction in the drain line beyond the ice machine and the water is backing up into the unit. You can try some Drain-o or snake the drain.

My kenmore elite topload washer is leaking underneath washing machine leaving a puddle whats causing this?

depends. first and foremost, I would fill the unit up about halfway with water, with tub being empty of any clothing. Tilt the machine back where you can look underneath it real good. see if you see any leaks with it half full of water. If you don't see any leaks, put the unit back on all fours, and put it into drain/spin. After tub empties of water, tilt unit back again and check for leaks near the drain pump and hose. If you need any further assistance, look for me on 6ya

Where do I troubleshot? Kenmore 80 Series Hvy Dty Washer. Water will not shut off filling drum on any water level. Also no selection of wash cycle will work. Only rinse and spin. It continues to fi

Ok, there is a tube running from the fill switch to the tub, as water fills the tub the air in this tube will activate the switch. If there is a hole in this tube the switch will not stop the water. I fill the tub about 1/4 full, take the tube off the switch and blow through the tube, If you hear air escaping patch the hole or replace the tube.

Why is water leaking from the bottom of the the washing machine?could the drum be to full?

It could be a bad tub seal, hole in a hose, or even the drain pump.
I would need your model number to be able to tell you how to check these parts.

Water is all over the floor from the washing machine. What could be the problem

water pump, hose or tub.. depends when you noticed water. After it was filled? during draining or filling? Also a clogged drain will cause backwash. Holes in tub from rust will leak out water, water pump cracked can leak water or hoses to drain or to washer not sealed or cracked. Overfill from a faulty fill valve can also do that, but then you'd see lots of water all obver on that one.

Washer won't drain -- clean the pump

First I would try to flush the pump, if the tub is still full of water. To flush the pump, take a garden hose sprayer and fit it tight into the drain hose. Give it a short shot of water, then stick the drain hose back into the drain. Put the washer on spin and see if any water comes out. You may have to do this more than once to clear the pump. If that does not work, siphon the water out of the washer and disconnect the hose from the pump to the drum. Clear the hose the best you can, pour a little water into the drum to check it. Check the pump too, take it apart if you have to.

Stops during rinse cycle and water will not empty out of tub. ? switch to pump??? Now I have a tub full of dirty water that won't drain

Model may vary, but this could be helpful for sure.
1. Unplug machine. Drain out maximum water by lowering the drain pipe into bucket or lower drain.
2. Remove the lower kick plate under the door. There will be a screws in the bottom corners of the panel holding it on.
3. Find the drain pump. It will be on the right-hand side and is
usually white in color. The drain hose from the bottom of the tub
will be connected to it.
4. Remove drain hose from standpipe and connect a wet/dry shop vac (if you have one) to the end of it.
5. Turn vacuum on and watch the drain hoses from the tub and from the pump. If the hoses collapse, you have a clog somewhere.
6. Remove the drain hose leading to the pump. Check the impeller area of the pump for debris. This is usually where coins, clothing labels and other items get caught.
7. Clean out the pump and drain hoses. Located in the hose coming down from the tub is the filter, check this out for cleaning.
8. When finished, reconnect any drain hoses that you previously removed making sure you get a good seal with the hose clamp BEFORE you fill the machine. If you notice a leak during fill, hit the "cancel" button to stop. Make sure you place the drain hose back in the standpipe too.

Indoor jacuzzi bathtub problem

Just add 1/2 cup bleach to a full tub of clean water, turn on the jets.

Grab a small goldfish strainer / net and scoop out the moldy chunks.

Keep cycling the water until most of the chunks are gone.

Drain the rub, refill and add 1/2 cup bleach again, repeating the process.

The problem is caused by water left in the lines after use, and it turns moldy.

After each use...drain the tub completely, then turn on the jets for about 10 seconds. This will purge the lines of any standing water.

Fill the tub with clean water and cycle the jets with bleach once a week to prevent any further problem.

Hope this helps...it worked for me, I had the same problem.

Washer not always draining

It sounds like you have a couple of things going on here. First of all, the most common problems associated with a poor drain on a washer is due to clogs in the pump and/or drain hose. But first, make sure you don't have your drain hose shoved down in the drain standpipe too far. If you don't leave an air gap for the drain hose, this will often cause poor drainage problems and/or siphoning of the water as it tries to fill (this may be a cause for your soapy clothes, too). The drain hose should rest inside the standpipe so that pipe is not sealed and the hose is not sitting in the drain trap. You can check your drainage also by connecting a wet/dry shop vac to the drain hose and try to pull water through it from the machine. There will be some residual water that remains in the tub after washing. Just follow these simple steps: 1. Unplug machine. 2. Remove the lower kick plate under the door. There will be a screw in the bottom corners of the panel holding it on. 3. Find the drain pump. It will be on the right-hand side and is usually white in color. The drain hose from the bottom of the tub will be connected to it. 8. When finished, reconnect any drain hoses that you previously removed making sure you get a good seal with the hose clamp BEFORE you fill the machine. If you notice a leak during fill, hit the "CANCEL" button to stop. Make sure you place the drain hose back in the standpipe too. Now...dispenser problems are usually the result of fabric softener and mildew. If you remove the dispenser tray from the machine and look inside the compartment on the front of the washer, you will notice a series of small holes in the overhead portion of the cavity. This is where water gets dispensed into the tray and flushes softener, bleach and detergent into your wash. If these holes get clogged, the tray will not dispense properly. Take a rag and clean this area thoroughly using some hot water. The water will need to be warm enough the melt any fabric softener residue that may have accumulated over time. Next, clean the area really good with some bleach solution to get rid of any mildew. You may have to use something to clear all the holes of debris. Often fabric softener is the culprit and it cakes the holes up. A simple wiping down with a rag may not be enough to do it. A cotton swap of tooth pick works great at cleaning these holes. This is also a good time to take the dispenser tray and soak it in some hot water in the kitchen sink to clean it out as well. Good luck to you and let me know if you find this advice helpful.
