The LCD is not broken and did not see anything, and the camera takes good picture

Take some shots, take your memory card out and insert into a card reader and see if the shots are there. If yes, then camera is taking shots. If not, then something else is wrong. Theoretically, if the LCD is cracked or broken, the camera should still work, just not the shot preview or getting to the menu system. Why waste time with the shot preview? I never use it. While someone is looking at the shot they just made, I'm busy taking the next shot, which might be the better.

It's broken beyond anything you can do without proper tools and more experience than I can give you here.

you should replace the lcd screen from an authorized service center. or you can buy the lcd screen alone from ebay and find someone to replace it .remember

The only thing you can do is take or send the camera to an AUTHORIZED service center for replacement of the LCD screen. If you can live with just using the viewfinder, like in the old days, the LCD being broken should not effect the camera operation. Set the selection to the EVF (electronic view finder) position and this will stop the LCD screen from coming on. If this has helped, please rate it accordingly. Thanks and good luck. Many screen breaks happen to ruin the LCD from visibly displaying a picture. On some cameras, the screen is attached to the back plate of the camera and are very easy to replace with a new one. Some screens are attached to a video pc board and may ruin the board from displaying anything. Your best bet is to have it repaired professionally by one of our top repair providers and get an estimate first. I have repaired many good digital cameras with a LCD replacement, but I also had to purchase a broken used one for parts because new parts became to expensive to repair the one with a broken LCD. BTW: all digital cameras contain many PC boards and if you can still take pictures means the boards that control your lens, motors, CCD, and I/O boards are still intact and functional. Can you see the menus on the camera or nothing at all? Are the pictures all white if you take a picture and transfer it to your computer?

If you can take good pictures but can't see anything on the LCD then you need the LCD replaced.

If you can see everything on the LCD but can't take good pictures then you most likely need the lens replaced as your CCD or aperture may be bad.

It's very hard to know without mroe information...

Your LCD is broken.
The SD card would not be able to affect the LCD screen in any way.
Normally I would say to get the LCD fixed but that would be a waste of money due to the fact that this model was released in 2004 and you would be better off getting a new camera.

For good quality and "user-friendliness" i would suggest the:

Canon SD1000, SD870, SD750 (Thin, sleek designs that come with a rechargable battery)

For more a more convenient price without loss of quality you might want to check out the Canon PowerShot A560.
(A somewhat large and bulky camera that runs on regular AA batteries)

or buy a new camera
