My Nespresso Aeroccino abruptly stopped working. I called Nespresso and they told me to turn it upside down for 24 hrs. to reset it and if that did not work (which it didn't) then my only choice was to replace it. At $99 that is not so easy but I cannot find anyone to repair products. Any ideas?

I am sure that you don't need a new frother you can buy replacement parts from amazon. It must be some part that is malfunctioning.
This article has listed 8 possible reasons why the Nespresso milk frother isn't working properly. It might help you.

It's the fuse inside. Did it have a burnt residue at the bottom ..if so it's a quick DIY job.
eBay For the replacement fuse!

SOURCE: can i order another magnet for my Nespresso

Hi,
I would go to www.nespress.com website and and go to your country and then click on Nespresso Assistance Service on the top right. There should be a number to call that can assist you.
For example Australia is 1800 623 033 9am - 6pm.M-F.
Service is pretty good. Just have your Nespresso account number ready.
Cheers,
Paul

SOURCE: nespresso aeroccino doesn't work after milk was

The company will tell you to turn upside down for 24 hours to reset. I did and this did not work, you may have gotten base wet, which can break machine. Try turning upside for aeroccino upside down for 24 hr. you do not need to do this to the base. They told me if this does not work, I need to buy a new one. I hope you have better luck.

Nespresso milk frother instructions

I had the same problem. From reading various sites it is clearly a common problem. Most suggest phoning Nespresso to get it replaced but one website suggested turning the machine upside down. Not the base, just the aeroccino. Leave it like this overnight and it resets itself. I don't understand how that works but I tried it as it was a weekend and wasn't going to be able to call the helpline till Monday. And it worked! I now have proper froth again. Other suggestions seem to be try never to get the underneath wet (I think leaving it upside down ensures this area dries out completely), don't leave it on the base when not using and certainly don't leave it on.

My nespresso aeroccino automatic milk frother is spinning and heating up but not frothing milk

I found that switching to a different milk solved my issue. It worked well with whole milk, but when I used Trader Joe's two percent organic it would not froth after .multiple tries. I borrowed a neighbor's creamer and it worked again.

Aeroccino frother won't turn back on after we get some froth and still more milk in container.. takes a long time to be able to activate again.. using Almond milk could be the problem any suggeest

My Nespresso Aeroccino often would not heat or froth multiple times after one use. I called Nespresso, they have excellent customer service, and was told to rise the inside (careful not to get the outside button or electric elements wet) of the Aeroccino with cold water a few times and to retry. Works like a charm!
The customer service is the best I have encountered in a long while, give them a call, it will make your day they are so pleasant and helpful!

My aeroccinno just won't turn on... I took the base apart & cleaned it, but no luck.

After being sure that the inside is thoroughly cleaned (We use a slightly abrasive sponge with plenty of elbow gerase.), dry by hand and let it air dry for 72 hours upside down. Keep the base unplugged during this time. When using in the future, clean throoughly after each use, unplug the base and dry the pitcher upside down.

"mixer" in cover does not

Hi,

Nespresso stated in the past that perhaps moisture (water) had gotten into the bottom of the frother and that might have been the reason it had stopped working.Try turning upside for aeroccino upside down for 24 hr. you do not need to do this to the base

Aeroccino jug being stored on the Base. The base does not have an on/off switch; therefore it is drawing full power at all times when plugged-in. If the Aeroccino jug is stored on a plugged-in base it can short-circuit. Once this has occurred there is no troubleshooting that will alleviate the issue, and replacement is the only option.Don't leave the base plugged-in when not using the unit.

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

Frother not turning on though there is power to the base

just wanted to comment on the issue with the Aeroccino when it stops working. As has been mentioned, Nespresso stated in the past that perhaps moisture (water) had gotten into the bottom of the frother and that might have been the reason it had stoped working. This was not my problem---I was very diligent in preventing ANY moisture entering the unit. But Nespresso has finally acknowledged the real issue. This is Nespresso's partial reply to my query: "Another possible cause for the Aeroccino to not turn on is the result of the Aeroccino jug being stored on the Base. The base does not have an on/off switch; therefore it is drawing full power at all times when plugged-in. If the Aeroccino jug is stored on a plugged-in base it can short-circuit. Once this has occurred there is no troubleshooting that will alleviate the issue, and replacement is the only option." There you have it. Mine would turn on for a several seconds, and merely warm the milk, instead of frothing it. I guess it took us 9 months to short-circuit it. Luckily ours is still under warranty, so a replacement is being shipped. Good luck to all of you with the same problem...I hope you are still under warranty. For those of you with a working Aeroccino: Don't leave the base plugged-in when not using the unit.

Not making froth

Had the same problem, but called Nespresso. Their tech suggested the following: 1) always leave off the base - will stay on even if button not pressed 2) invert the Aerocinno for 24-48 hours to "reset" the thermostat in the device. I began leaving the base plugged in, but immediately after using and cleaning (don't get ANY water in the bottom of the machine!), I invert the Aeroccino and leave it that way. My machine began making great froth with any tyoe of milk, and continues to do so a month later -

Sounded crazy to me initially, but it works.....Never returned the device, and no need to do so now - Good luck!
