Cant gain access to change settings on my router Belkin N1+

Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.

You will need to double-check your security settings. Apparently, the modem is trying to tell you there's a problem regarding this.
The easiest way to be able to access the router settings in this case, will be to provide a direct connection between your PC and the Belkin router (using a network cable) and then type in that address.
If the address still doesn't work, double check the router's IP address by opening the Command Prompt (it's under Programs -> Accessories) and typing in "ipconfig", then hitting Enter. The IP-address you're looking for is listed under "default gateway".
(Also, make sure your computer isn't using a fixed IP, set it up so it's dynamically assigned an address by the Belkin router.)

Try changing the SSID and the channel number.

First connect your router to computer with ethenret cable.
Then you can access it with
http://192.168.15.1
If your rrouter is not access with this link then type in run "ipconfig /all"
then you get all adresese.
Gateway is ip adreese of yourt router so access it with those ip.

Type user name as "admin" and password as "blank or "admin" or "password"

then go to wi fi advanmced menu then change channel type 4,6 and 11
Try these 3 channel type 1 by 1 those give best result.
Set channel which give best result.

MAke sure when you set any settings in restart don't foget to save settings and restaret router .

I had this with Bt Internet and this exact same router, you have to phone Belkin up and they give you a complete set of new settings that you manually have to put in during setup. If i remember rightly its a free phone number and the operator who answered spoke semi-english so not all bad, hope this helps.

after upload the frimware its goes to default setting then you have to re-configure it sir

Use a different browser. Try using IE which should be on your desktop see if that works.

First off you need to change the defaault IP of one of the routers so that you can access them both via the web based interface. The default is 192.168.2.1

Do you plan linking them via cable or wireless?

if you want to configure your access point with your router you may try the ff:
Step 1: Connect the Ethernet port of the access point to one of the Ethernet ports of the router
Step 2: Make sure the power adapter is plugged to an available power outlet
Step 3: Check if the corresponding LEDs on the access point are lit
Step 4: After connecting the devices together, configure the access point’s wireless settings
Step 5: Open the access point’s web-based setup page
Step 6: When the access point’s web-based setup page opens, change the SSID, Channel, and Wireless Security.

Dear Friend,

1. Connect your ISP modem to your PC and configure as Bridge mode.

2. Remove your ISP modem and connect your wireless router to your PC and configure as PPPOE mode. (refer http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/reviews/article.php/3645166 if any doubt on configuration)

3. Now connect your ISP modem to wireless router, The modem should connect to your WAN cable.

4. And Give the wireless router's IP in your laptop as Gateway (In TCPIP settings of your Laptop wireless adapter / or configure DHCP)

5. Now you can access internet on both systems.
