Need a JVC D-770 Driver

My son received this camcorder from his grandma and it does not have an installation CD ... I have looked on the JVC website and cannot find anywhere to download a driver. Please Help! Thanks.

OK, I called JVC and they said there is no driver. The cable supplied is only for transferring pictures from the camera but you need a firewire cable to get video to your PC. It will be a 4 pin cable on the video camera side and either 4 pin or 6 pin on your pc. Hope this helps other people!

My vista is on the installing drivers window with "jvc gr-d770 USB device - searching prefongigured driver folders" for 2 hours so I don't know why JVC would say it doesn't need drivers.

Please use the CD which came with your JVC and install the drivers first, then connect your JVC GR-X5 Mini DV. If you do not install the drivers, your PC will never see it.

If you do not have the CD go to the JVC web site and download the drivers and install it. here is the link to JVC web Site

I have a feeling JVC doesn't link putting their software for their products on their website. You might have to contact their tech support to get a replacement CD.
