My lg washer seems to take forever when it gets to the rinse cycle. it keeps saying 18 minutes left. Instead of a load taking 55 minutes, it takes about 1 1/2 hours!

Not sure but it could be a bad motherboard or the pipe that comes off the bottom of the drum and then goes up to the circuit board to turn the water off when it fills to the right level. Does the water turn on as the washer is washing like halfway through it cycle if cycle if it does water is leaking out of the washer maybe and it refills until it gets up that pipe and makes that sensor on the circuit board and it keeps refilling and refilling and that's what takes so long for the washer to finish his cycle.
Good luck
The manual says wash number 5 takes 60 minutes the only shorter cycles are numbers 9 & 10 which take 55 minutes but they are cooler washes for wool and silk with a spin speed of 800rpm the number 5 has a spin speed of 1400rpm.

I'd love to say yes! The machine is stopping because it will not drain. This is what the nd code means. Therefore, it will not rinse (add more water) or spin because the water level is already too high and to try to "spin it out" would put too much pressure on the machine with that much water in it. Drain out the water by putting the drain hose below the level of the washer (this takes forever) and call your repair man back!
