have a look in device manager

Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc

click on the + against network adapters - see if a wireless device is listed maybe called an 802.11 device - any yellow ! or ? anywhere in device manager - if so then you are missing drivers after the windows 7 install - you do need to install drivers for various hardware devices - drivers are here, but only for windows XP for that make and model
    http://uk.ts.fujitsu.com/support/downloa...
    They say on the website
Your product is not supported for Windows® 7.

Before you do a re-install to check the card - you could try UBUNTU running from a virtual CD, so you keep windows 7 on the harddrive ... often the wireless adapters work without additional drivers - maybe worth a try

    UBUNTU
It may be possible to boot from another Operating System
This will at least test the Hardware
If you have another PC with a cdwriter and spare CD
    gotohttp://www.ubuntu.com/ and download the ISO

    full details are herehttp://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-v...

click on the image "download ubuntu"
    Select a location
    then begin download
Save the file onto your PC – remember where you saved it – so you can find it again to create the image bootable CD.

You do NOT copy the ISO file onto a CD - you have to use the ISO to create a bootable CD
The CD creator software you have on the PC may have an option to create an image from an ISO
If not - use this free programhttp://www.imgburn.com/

When the UBUNTU CD boots - you will see the following options
    1) Try ubunto without any change to your computer
    2) Install ubuntu
    3) Check CD for defects
    4) Test memory
    5) Boot from first hard disk.

Use OPTION 1 "Try ubunto without any change to your computer" ONLY this option this will run from the CD and not install onto your harddrive - be careful, if you do install onto the PC - you will wipe the data and software OFF your hard drive.., so repeat only use option 1

Now you should see a UBUNTU desktop
This at least proves the main parts of the PC are working

Fujitsu siemens not seeing wireless networks

Go Fujitsu Website and support, download drivers and download the correct WIRELESS NETWORK DRIVER and/or ADAPTER drives. Select RUN and reinstall them (all).

If that does not work then it may be the network adapter which may be behind a back flap. Remove and Replace with same part. Actually its easier just to buy a USB or PCMCIA Network Adapter from Radio Shack to plug in to your Notebook, comes with software and driver installation disk about $40. This is generally the best solution as it works independantly as a "plug in", easier to install if notebook's built in Network Adapter is defective.

Cant get the wireless to turn on

There is a switch in the front of the laptpo. You need to switch it on. The light orange indicates its off and blue light means the wireless is on.

Also go to device manager and under network adaptor make sure the wirless adaptor is installed

Lan card

First of all are you sure there is one inside the computer? Secondly if it is installed inside the pc itself there may be a problem / driver not loaded. Make sure to install the drivers before trying to use your network adapter. Most of the time they come with a disk or you can download software from another computer!Have you tried another Lan Card? Just like any other PC component they can get fried.

LAN CARD ADAPTOR IS MISSING AFTER FORMATING TO XP PRO

Not sure I understand you what you mean. Let me recap:
1) Your LAN adaptor was working before you reloaded Windows XP Pro.
2) Now it’s not showing up in “Device Manager”.
If this is the case, there must be some software driver missing. Make sure there are no other devices that have an error. Double check Dell’s website at www.support.dell.com and select "I'm looking for drivers and downloads". If you don't have the proper version of Adobe you will be prompted to install it. Once installed return to "drivers and downloads" and enter the "service tag", (serial number) of the laptop. Dell keeps a listing of drivers for every customer's computer they sell.

Need to add a wirless code to laptop so it will geta wirless signal

For wireless connection you need a wireless adaptor in your laptop. Most of the laptop comes with wireless adaptor. If you have one then go to control panel--> network connection--> right click on wireless connection and view available networks in your area.

Please note : If you see a lock sign in front of a network it means that network is secured and you cant access it without password.

Please mail me if you need any other help or if something is not clear in my answer
