What's the BTU for an Ultra-Aire wall furnace?

What's the input BTU for an Ultra-Aire wall furnace (single-sided)? Its specification plate/tag is missing.

  • Anonymous Apr 23, 2010

I am concerned about the circulating/venting air (CVA) requirement. A furnace with 25,000 BTU requires at least 1,250 cubic feet of unenclosed space to operate safely. 35,000 BTU require 1,750 cubic feet of space. A smaller enclosed room may not have enough footage for a higher BTU requirement.

MOST SINGLES ARE 25.000 BTU TO 35.000 DUEL SIDED ARE 50.000

Testimonial: "I knew it's either 25k or 35k, just not sure which one. I have a room that is big enough for 25k but not 35k. Thanks though!"

most 35 and 25 are the same except they put a bigger orifice hole where gas comes out of main burner. you can change them to 35 or 25 by changing them like propane kits. .Hole is size of 1/8 drill bit . not sure of the two sizes. look for # on that orfice. and email me back

What size oil furnace is needed for 1200 square feet?

75000 to 85000 btu Or British thermal pound.
Two units of measure are important in sizing an oil furnace. The first is the British Thermal Unit or BTU, which represents the energy needed to raise the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit at normal atmospheric pressure. The input capacity of an oil furnace is often stated using this unit of measure. The second number is the fuel efficiency rating, which is expressed as a percentage. This represents the amount of energy that gets converted to heat, with higher numbers being better. To determine the energy output in BTUs per hour, multiply the input BTU by the efficiency rating. For example, a furnace with 100,000 BTU of input and an efficiency rating of 89 produces 89,000 BTUs of output. One with an efficiency rating of 80 and the same input amount, produces only 80,000 BTUs of output.

Usually these numbers on most other untits are stamped on a metal plate which is located

I have the Model number and serial number but am unable to find the BTU's on mty furnace...Help please?

if you have the model number of the furnace, then you have the btu input of the furnace. The model number usually starts with letters, then the three numbers following the letters are usually the btu input of the furnace.

For instance if it said 075 then it would have an input rating of 75,000 btu/hr or if it said 125 then it would have an input rating of 125,000 btu/hr.

Hope this helps

No heat after installing honeywell thermostat H8110U

hook up the blue wire in the furnace cabinet where the blower section and the other thermostat wires are connected to the furnace. the thermostat you have uses a common wire from the thermostat to the furnace and this needs to be hooked up in the furnace otherwise you will have the problem you are having.

I'm considering installing a Goodman LP Gas Furnace:sizing? Ops?

Gerge, if you go to website www.energycodes.gov
you can do a heat load calc yourself. Basically, you figure out the sizes of walls, total area of glass. total doors to outside, ceiling area and types of building materials used. It is pretty easy and then you will know for sure. The contractor should be suppling you with one but if not use this, it is free!
