otherwise use your mouse & at the bottom right corner of your screen there will be a icon that looks like a speaker click on that & you will see the volume bar

This will prove whether it is the Monitor at fault or not.

You need to check your power options settings and modify it , so that your monitor does not turn off automatically.


If you are using windows xp , go in control panel and then there would be an icon for power options , double click the power options and then you would find settings which read turn off monitor , turn off hard disk etc... select the turn off monitor to never mode or as per your convenience and you would have your problem solved.

This problem is typically a monitor problem. Firstly check all the connecting pins of the monitor vga cable where it plugs into your display card. Sometimes these pins are either bent or pushed into the plug and do not make proper contact with the card pin socket.
The quickest way to determine the fault would be to plug in another monitor & see if you get the same red screen. If the other screen also shows up red, you can safely rule out a faulty screen & just replace your display card. My guess is that the other screen will display correctly & you will have to repair or replace your own screen.

It sounds like either a bad signal input , possibly from a loose plug on the cable from the PC or bent pins on the plug / the video graphics card in the PC/ or the settings on the monitor need adjustment. Use the OSD (On Screen Display)

First check to make sure both ends of the cable from the PC to the monitor are not damaged and are seated good & tight.
If those are fine then unplug both cables from the monitor & leave unplugged for 10 minutes or so to see if the screen has an automatic reset.
If that does not work then use the monitors OSD (On Screen Display) to adjust to default settings. If that does not work, plug the monitor into another known good PC.This will tell you right then if its the monitor or "Your" PC.

Have you tried it on another computer? if not please do it. Your monitor problem seems with the CPU not booting up properly. You can also try with another monitor on the computer. Please confirm after you are done with the results. Thanks.

It's likely that your screen is "fried" (faulty) ... try to connect your laptop to an external VGA monitor, and see if the screen shows up (on the external monitor) properly. You may have to toggle the output display (device) from computer screen to external monitor ..using Fn+F3.
If it displays on your external monitor properly, it means your laptop screen is no good. You can replace the laptop screen, or just continue to use the external monitor.
If it does the same (blurry & different color, etc.) on your external monitor, then, your video card/module on your laptop is bad. This usually happens less often.

just right click on the desktop and go to properties > screen saver > select "power" > change the settings there as "never turn off the monitor"..... click on apply changes.....


your problem will be fixed now.....

Possibly  your monitor inverter is broken, have a good look in some angel if the screen shows any picture if so then your inverter is broken. Its a common think with monitors.
