Projector not working

In your post you said:
"I have the same exact problem.
My projector powers on fine, and thestandby light turns green. The lamp powers on for about 2 seconds, thenit shuts off. After another 2 seconds, the "lamp" led blinks red once, then the projector goes into standby mode, and the fan turns on."

I have the exact same problem. Did you find the solution to this?

When i turn on my Ep719 the bulb turns on a little, for maybe 2 seconds (meaning that the bulb is still okay?) but then the bulb goes out and then the fan kicks up harder and the projector sits like that till I unplug the unit from power.
My unit has done this since i bought it, but untill now i have been able to make it work if i unplugged the projector from power for an hour then plugged it back in and promptly turned it on. but now it just plain old does not turn on.
i read somewhere that the mainboard needs to be replaced, but that sounds pricey to me... and i wouldn't know how to do that at all.

I have an EP719 Optoma projector. The lamp does not come on. When I press the power button the green power led goes solid green, the fan comes on and the lamp led flashes red just once. It doesn't keep flashing. It only flashes the one time as the fan starts to come on. I took the lamp module out and then re-seated it but this made no difference.

Replaced bulb yesterday worked fine. Today light will not turn on. projector turns on both lights green for 10 seconds, then power goes red and status blinks green for about 5 seconds, then status light...

green green is power on, normal
then it tries to light the lamp, but it can't so the protection circuit comes activated.
you get red and green blinking

Then it goes to standby, red and off.

so something has happened to the lamp, or lamp ballast power supply.
Take the lamp out and check if all is OK with the 2 terminals in the connector, and the leads to the lamp are intact.

Failing that, I would suspect the ballast lamp power unit

As all the posts on here I have the same problem. My panasonic pt-lb10u turns on, green light flashes, fan comes on. Then the green light turns red and the red lamp indicator light comes on. No light emits...

Hi,

If your projector won't fire up then you can't reset the lamp counter so that is not the problem.

The combination of LEDs you have given does not correspond to an error message. There should be two LEDs, one of which is the Lamp Indicator, and the other is the Temp Indicator.

It's possible that an overheating problem has caused this. Make sure the projector is in an area where the temprature is between 0 °C (32 °F) and 40 °C (104 °F) and the humidity is between 20% and 80% (with no condensation). It shopuld have unobstructed air flow around it.

Disconnect the power. Remove the lamp and place it aside. Clean the air filters, using a hoover, being careful not to damage the filter which is located on the underside at the front of the projector under a flap.

Carefully reinstall the lamp (when you say you replaced the lamp, did you buy a new PANASONIC lamp from a reputable source?) Try to fire up the projector. Note down any combination of LEDs if the projector doesn't work and post hem back here.

No light come on from the projector

Thats the projector telling you that you need to replace the lamp. Lamps usually lasts for about 2000 hours so if you had it for a while you may need to replace it.

www.froogle.com and enter your make and model or go to www.projectorcentral.com and find a few retailers in the US that sells lamps.

good luck
