at my experience the mp3 player if connect to computer will at charging mode and at windows explorer will detect as removable disk like pen drive
at this state you can copy/paste file from computer to mp3 player or from mp3 player to computer
if your computer did not detect mp3 player as removable disk it mean your need to install mp3 player driver to your computer first
i
got an i-pod NWZ-B152F of sony.after connecting to P.C it starts
charging but P.C does not recognise it.i want to transfer songs from my
computer to i-pod.can you please help?
Try to turn it off while connected, mine works normally and I can turn it on to use it while connected to the pc cable and then it doesn't communicate with the pc, or charge I think. When I turn it off it goes blank for a moment and then shows the USB symbol and communicates with the computer.
I just solved a similar problem with my Walkman. When I'd plug it into my computer, it wouldn't charge. I read in the troubleshooting section of the manual that it could be a problem with the computer or its USB connection. I connected my mp3 player to a different computer and it charged fine. If it's not responding at all, you may want to try the reset button (if your model has it). Hope that helps!
The player needs to be charged via the USB connnection on your PC. If it doesnt fit, try the USB ports on the back. If its not working/not charging, please test the MP3 player on another PC.
