System date error! please check NDS system date

When inserting r4 card and switching on it comes on screen with loading then underneath says : system date error! please check NDS system date.

it won't do anything. it's ok with normal games and was working one minute then switched it on next time and this happened and keeps happening

It's a bug issue in the firmware of the R4 cards. Won't work after 14 april 2010 unless you update the firmware of the R4 card.
For the time being you can set back the date before 14 april 2010 and it wil work directly.

Hi...

Push in the reset button ( it's very small) and reset your date and time

or..Pull the battery and wait 10 minutes..then reset all the user functions

Got the fix! Yesterday (31/April) I was doing a Google search on the R4i "System Date Error" problem and found the permanent solution! Basically one that DOESN'T involve changing your system date to one that it's not! Check out this blog post:

Follow the instructions and use their software (for genuine R4i-SDHC cards only of course) and problem should be solved! Worked for me on a regular DSi console with the original R4i SDHC card, 4GB memory.

this happened to me. all you have to do is take the card out, go to options, click on the calender and set it back a year. thats what i did and i fixed it.

There is a bug in the firmware of your R4 card.
Wil not work after 14 april.
You have to update the firmware of your R4 card.
Till you do that you can change the date back before 14 april so you can play directly.

Repair system date error on R4 chip

all u have 2 do is take the r4 card out, go to the options and change the date back about a year. that should work. this happened to me today and i fixed it by doin that. i hope it works for u to!

We had this on all 3 cards today and we just changed date on DS. Take r4 card out and change date on actual ds to a day earlier this will resolve it not sure what will happen tomorrow when same date comes up.

Yes I can we had the same problem with all 3 of our cards today you just need to take the date back on the actually DS if you take date forward it will not work. Not sure what will happen tomorrow as it seems to be 14th April that seems to b problem. Hope this helps
