Blank screen the screen has been working for over a year and all of a sudden went blank its not my pc as i plugged my pc into another screen and worked fine.... the standby flashing stops flashing when i turn pc on but nothing on screen why would this suddenly happen can anyone help plz

Sounds like you have a loose or bad cable

It's probably the backlight. If you look very closely, perhaps using a flashlight, you might be able to see that it is still working but just not being lit up from the back. In that case it may be worth fixing, but if not, then it's probably past its useful life.
One other thing you might try is a different power supply.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DI IS HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON UNTIL A SCREEN COMES UP THAT SAYS:
"SUSTEM IS REPAIRING ITSELF".
That screen will stay on and along the top of the screen you will see a percentage progress line of the repair in progress. (It will take around 4-5 minutes)

unhook all usb cables and power cable, take out battery. Hold down Power button for 60 seconds, which will get rid of all static electricity. Plug in all cables again and check.

If still facing problem there will be some connection issue inside the lap.

I suspect your screen has failed. No a disk will not fix it.
You need to test monitor on another PC if possible, and test another monitor on PC if possible.

Look for a fuse on the back where the power cord enters. If not, this is the fix

try to plug in a extrernal monitor and see if that works if it does your backlight went out
