Netopia 3347W We have a Netopia 3347W wireless router. It's been working fine, but now I can see the router on all computers. It's connected to it but it doesn't work. I've tried reseting and all of that. Is it possible that it's time to replace this one with a new one or do I need a new antenna?

You reset the router. that means router is set on factory default.settings has been changed now that's why connection manager is not responding properly. Now you have the run setup CD and set the router again.

You must hold the reset key for 30s to clear back to defaults. The defaults are here;

This is a problem with the routers firmware so to correct this better do a firmware upgrade with this unit and you can get the firmware from the manufacturer....

My MTU is at 1500 and I get the same message. I don't think it's up yet.

on the back panel you will find reset button. press and hold for 20sec. So your router will get back defaul settings.

Can you ping them, there may be a type of firewall that is blocking that traffic on the netopia router. Try and ping between computers and see what you have any comminication.

the cable modem should be giving the netopia an ip address

go inside the netopia by opening Internet Explorer and type 192.168.1.254

a little window will pop open

the username is admin, the password is the serial number on the bottom of the netopia

once in, click on configure, lan, then wireless at the bottom

make sure the wireless box is checked

name your network (SSID its called) like randy578

then click advanced if you want to enable wireless security encryption, your key to get online securely

click submit underneath it

clike the yellow triangle up at the top right

click save and restart

in like 2-3 minutes, click the wireless connection icon by your clock

connect to randy578 network

you should now be online
