My Dell Axim will not hold a charge. It seems to run down the battery within a few hours. I have put a new battery in it and still get the same results. I also have to do a soft reboot when the batter gets below 50% sometimes.

give me some more information as to what exactly occurs. Your battery
may be dead. i could be just uncharged. It could be an AXim problem. Be
more specific so i can try to help you.
Clean the battery connectors on both sides, so on your Axim and on your battery. Also try to push the battery against the connectors, maybe put a sheet of paper between it or so.
Note: The following is a quote of someone else: I had the same prob. Went to dell site and found this. Take out
battery. Put the cover back on. Attach to cradle and turn on. While it
is on, do a soft reset. Turn off, take it out of the cradle and put
battery back on. Try turning on with battery only.
Know it worked for me except for the last part. when i replace the battery it won't run on...again. tell me what happens with you ^_^
Try to check your phone if the battery connector having lost to contact the battery well. Or the problem came from your battery try to borrow from your friends battery to identify the problem.
