Indesit DIF04 integrated dishwasher

Hi, I have just bought a Indesit DIF04 UK integrated dishwasher, we have not recieved it yet but are wanting to get the plumbing part sorted before it arrives. Could you please advise if this dishwasher is a cold feed only or if it uses a hot and cold water feed?

Thanks
Serena Munro

Dishwashers normally are hot or cold feed.
My wife runs water at the sink to get it hot going in before turning on the dishwasher.
You can use either cold or hot water.
We have ours hooked up to the hot water side.
They work better hooked up to the hot water.

Our intergrsted Indesit dishwasher DIF04 has stopped working. We put it on as usual and it sounds like it’s taking on water, then after 5-10 minutes it sounds like it’s letting the water out and then...

Try this:

Switch off the appliance by pressing the O N/OFF button. Shut off
the water tap to eliminate the risk of flooding and remove the plug
from the electrical socket.
Make sure the water inlet filter has not become blocked by various impurities. (see "Care and maintenance" chapter)

I have bought the INDESIT DFP27B1 FULL SIZE D/WASHER, and am trying to set the water hardness level but it says press the button "P" and there isn't one!

Unfortunately, Indesit uses common pages in the manuals for all of their dishwasher models. If you noticed on page 8 in the manual, several parts of the description about the salt and rinse aid features have an asterix after them. At the bottom of the page, the asterix leads to a foot note "On select models only". Looking at the Indesit Dishwasher models, The DIFP 8T96 Z eXtra baby care, https://www.indesit.co.uk/i/dishwashing/dishwashers/indesit-difp-8t96-z-extra-baby-care-integrated-dishwasher-in-white/f105231 , model has a P button between the power button and the LCD screen on the left of the control panel. The DFP 27B1 is not a model with the option to set the water hardness. Only the pages that have to be different are swapped (like the DIFP 8T96 control panel images) are unique.

I wish that I could fix Indesit's manuals but they are "saving" on printing costs. There are probably other models that have this feature but you'd have to check each one. I just looked at the Indesit site's images of each model on the particular product page until I found one that did.

Will not empty water

Its probably a blockage. Try taking the machine out so that you can put the drain pipe at floor level. (Ideally outside) so you can see if it drains or not. That will give you a better idea. Get back to me once you have tried that. Thanks, Sean

My dishwasher is not pumping water through the arms. The plates are coming out dirty. The dishwasher does drain and it does fill OK. What can we do, we have had the dishwasher 2.5 years really do not want...

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or back feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET valve to open up and allow water to flow into. If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor .

The LOW PRESSURE ON THE PUMP CAN BE THE REASON FOR POOR WASHING. so check the pump , it canbe faulty - clogged with dirt, if so remove and clean.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water .

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.
