How do I remove oven from under cabinets ? - Sharp R-1874 Convection/Microwave Oven

Hi,
Look in the floor of the cabinet...there will be two screws that go down into the Microwave...There can be very long... but turn them out and then tilt the oven down in the front and lift it off of the back plate on the wall...

open the cabinet door above the microwave there should be four screws going thru bottom of the cabinet shelf holding it on to cabinet have a helper hold the microwave as you unscrew it

If this is a built in mounted under an overhead cabinet, Just open the above cabinets and there will be 2 long screws facing downward that hold it in place, if it is a built in that is framed in then you will need to remove the frame and the brackets behind the frame that are holding it in place and then slide it out.

It is much easier for two people to remove the microhood. If attempting alone, please move the range out so you can get under the micro to support the weight. If the range stays in place, protect the top from damage.
1. make a landing site to the side, to protect the floor when putting the micro down after removal.
2. Disconnect the power cord in the cabinet above.
3. loosen the two screws in the bottom front corners of the cabinet above. When removed the front of the micro will drop, be ready for the weight. Busy times, tools in hands microwave coming down in front.
4. tilt the front down. pull the cord out of the upper cabinet.
5. with micro still tilted down in front, lift the back of the unit upward to free it from the wall plate.
6. remove the fasteners in the wall plate and remove.

Take the cover off...comes apart many different ways on various models. Once cover is removed look for blown fuses...should be one on the main input near the power cord. May be additional fuses at the transmitter. Could also be as simple as removing input power for 15 minutes and then reconnecting; I recommend you try this step first.

Remove the face plate above the door. You will see two bolts where you can use a screwdriver to turn them (unlock them). Those bolts go all the way to the back of the microwave. Once you have turned them (you do not need to remove them), you will need to remove the one - three screws that come in from the cabinet above. You may have to jar it loose if it still stuck.

I think there are only three very long bolts that can be used to attach this microwave to the cabinet floor or shelf. Grease, paint, varnish all can make the case stick to the cabinet. You might try running a putty knife or scraper around all the exposed edges keeping the top bolts in place so it will not fall down.
