The OS installation may be corrupt. Remove all USB drives and discs from CD and try again.

You will need to run a repair or possibly re-install Windows (onto itself).

If the pc runs hot, check if it has good ventelation and the fans are spinning, good to use compressed air to blow out dust from the fans check if the pc has been overclocked and make sure to set to run at recommended speed.
