My Humminbird 788 ci screen clutters up and gives crazy depth readings when the trolling motor (mk terrpva80# w/ ipilot and built in td w/mkr-us2-8 cable) is set on mid to high speed settings. It does...

One thing you might try is restoring the defaults in your unit. One other thing is go into the menu under the sonar tab and adjust your Noise Filter. You may have some type of interference going on. You can call our customer service department and they will trouble shoot it for you. Our number is 800-633-1468.

Joby from Humminbird.

Humminbird 798 has erratic gps speed readouts at slow speeds between 1 and 3 miles per hour. Speeds bounce up and down between 0.1 and 3.0 mph even when sitting in the boat in my driveway!

I had the same problem. I talked to 3 different technicians on the Humminbird support line about it. All 3 of them confirmed that this is how their technology works. They ping the GPS satellites continuously, and at low speeds the GPS accuracy causes the speed measurement to fluctuate wildly. It smooths right out when you go faster than 3 MPH, since your boat moves far enough at that speed that the GPS accuracy is no longer a problem.

Seems like they could easily overcome this issue by averaging GPS readings over a longer time period at low speed (i.e. give the boat enough time to move far enough to eliminate the accuracy issues), but they don't do that.

It was a big issue for me since I do a lot of trolling at low speed and need an accurate speed indicator, so I returned the product and bought a Lowrance instead. Lowrance doesn't have this issue.

Hello, my Humminbird 565 startred to misread the tempereture, when stoped or in low speed it show the water temp 10º c bellow the real temp. The same happens in Fº. The sounder otherwie works...

More than likely you have your sensor run underneath the boat and therefore the sensor is directly in the water. When you speed around the hot water on top is what your sensor is picking up, when you slow, you are allowing the sensor to pick up on the colder water just inches below the surface

Need the directions to wiring the humminbird fish finder piranha max 210

Wiring should be very straightforward, the connector on the left (looking at the back of the sounder) is the plug for the transducer, the 2 pin plug in the middle is for the power (notch in the plug cord points UP), and the 4 pin connector is for the optional speed and/or temperature sensor. Here is an install manual for your reference:
