LG direct drive has a smell of old water coming from inside the tub. we also had a small of standing water in the laundry room after a wash cycle. do you think its the water pump?

It sounds like it may not be level. Check the washer for being level and plumb. I run vinegar through mine occasionally as that smell can happen no matter what as there is always a little water sitting in the pump and pipes.

I have got DWN 38 L Bendix dishwasher, problem is that during the wash cycle water starts to come under the washer. To ,me it looks like it can't take the water out.

If water is collecting under the dishwasher then there could be a few reasons.
1. door gasket is leaking - check for defect and replace if required
2. the wash or drain pump could be leaking water. Seals are not sitting properly or drain hose is cracked.

After sitting for several hours water pools inside the washer. No water when a load finishes but water standing inside the next day...

Turn the watersupply off to the washer for a day, if there is no water there after a day, replace the water inlet valve/s.
If there is still water there, then it must be coming from the sink waste if the washer outlet hose is connected to it, kift the hose higher, this will prevent it from syphoning back into the washer.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer rubber seal on front door collects water underneath and now has black mold, and a strong odor, like cigarette smoke.

Use some detergent plus baking soda and mix it in with the water--rub it around (with an old toothbrush) to loosen the mold. Let sit for a while, then wipe water, mold, and cleaner away. Finally, rinse with clean water and wipe dry. Leave the door ajar to air out after each wash. It will help to remove the standing water each time. Don't poke a hole in the seal to drain the water out, because water will then run out of the bottom of the washer.

Water continues to drip in after complete cycle

Check the solenoids at the water inlet valve. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. A bad solenoid will permit water to leak through to the tub. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Standing water in the tub

bad inlet water valve --turn water supply off and watch to see if machine continues to fill with water --suggest removing inlet water lines from machine and inspect the strain screens on the machine for sediment build up if so clean

Water comes back in and stands after cycle is run

I'm not sure what washer you have but a lot of washers have an additional spin cycle. If you left the lid open, then it would only fill with water then sit until the lid is closed. Try making sure the lid is closed next time you empty it and see if the water is in there the next morning. I hope this helps. Good luck!
