HI....My Fridge only cools down in the bottom part of it.

I have a Frigidaire that stop working properly a few days ago. I have noticed that it cools down in the cold area (right hand side of the fridge) just in the bottom two shelfs. The same is happening in the freezer ( left hand side of the fridge) where the two bottom shelfs freeze the food; but the rest is warm........
I do not hear any noises recently. I would appreciate any tips to start my root cause investigation

Hi,
As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

FRS26R4CB0-Freezer not freezing and Fridge not getting Cool

Hi Candi,

I don't know this model but most friges are the same,
Check on the bottom back, there should be a radiator with a small fan
installed.

If the fan is not working this maybe your problem,
It is not colling the gas.

You also may have a gas leak or the gas compressor is not working
or starting to work because of a faulty capcacitor.

Could be but before that check if settings are working. Set the freezer settings to coolest and see if cools. If ok, set to desired temp.

Freezer works, fridge doesn't cool

Probably excessive ice in the condensor. Likely defrost thermostat or defrost heater problem.

What happens is excessive ice keeps airflow from the refrigerator part of the unit.

Frigidaire Refrigerator is warm on top of the frig and freezer but fine on bottom.

Remove the rear lower panel on the unit check to see if the compressor is hot or if its running, should feel the vibration, also listen for any clicking noises.

Frigidaire frs26r4 fan not working

So if your voltage changes with the fan plugged in, it would seem that your fan is blown and you need a replacement. This fan is needed to properly cool the top. You should be able to order the part directly from Frigidaire or there are many online sites to choose from. If you need help with this, let me know or if you have any other questions, just ask, otherwise, good luck

Fridge and Freezer losing cooling

we bought a f&p fridge freezer and in summer noticed it wasn't cooling and the freezer wasn't freezing, when the service guy came out he noticed our ducted air con was blowing onto the fridge, once we had redirected the air con outlet the fridge started working as normal, apparently f&p's work on air being convected around the cabinet of the fridge and air blowing on the fridge can effect the temperature of the convected air. hope this helps you or someone
