You can download later BIOS version from :

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Then, copy 3 files into the bootable disk (3.5" Floppy),
after bootup from the system, please follow :

A:>AFUDOS /ip5pe1501.rom

after upgrade, restart compuer.

Theres a problem in the processor you bought>>>or not compatible to your motherboard just check the FSB, i think the max capacity of the your motherboard is only 800 MHZ and the processor you bought is 1066 MHZ,better to use 800 MHZ.

You can upgrade your bios, you just need to visit the motherboard manufacturer site where you can download the latest bios.

http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=0&model=1276&modelmenu=1

You can also try to reset the bios first, you can reset it to default settings and if that will not work then you can upgrade the bios.

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5PE-VM

and you can also check this site regarding bios upgrade

My unit was replaced by asus mother board P5PE-vm and there is an error message, intel cpu uCode loading error. how do i get rid of this error? it is pissed seeing this error

If you don't ask Asus will not do it for you.
You can either call Asus and ask for an updated bios, (they charge about $6.00 not including shipping) or you can update the bios you're self. Everything you need to flash the bios is on their web site;
http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=k3h0ZFVu9Lo1dUvk&content=download
The last three bios updates are for support new CPUs.
