Pioneer vsx-d814 took power surge from line switching by power company. Will not power on. Are there common failures in the power supply section.
I pressed the front Enter and Advanced Surround for 2 seconds on my VSX-D814 and that worked. Thanks.

Ben , read my post ( vigvette ) for my VSX-517....Out of the factory manual for the 517....It might give you an error code.
When power off, push FRONT ENTER key + AUTO SURR/DIRECT key continuously 2sec.

I was cranking spinning some EDM vinyl at -5dB and the vsx-d814 amp shut down after 10 minutes. I pressed Enter and Advanced sound and it clicked on and the display flashes “Amp Err” abs shuts back down after 3 seconds.
What do I do next?
I did the auto/direct and enter on my vsx-517-k and I hear a click but still does not power up and no red light on power button? ? Looking to save unit if any ideas are welcomed
This worked for my vsx-d814 thanks so much!!!!!!!
FAN STOP
blinks in the display, then the power automatically switches off.
• Something is obstructing the fan. Remove the obstruction and try switching the receiver back on. If the
fan is still not working, or you can't remove the object, unplug the receiver from the wall and call a Pioneer
authorized independent service company.
• The fan is malfunctioning. Unplug the receiver from the wall and call a Pioneer authorized independent

Check for dust balls in and around it. Disconenct power before exploring inside.

The 814 does not have the auto surr/ direct key. I tried the enter key with all other front buttons and nothing happened. I am getting 120V past the first fuse but I am loosing it before the primary contact on the main transformer,
