Your freezr drain is blocked or frozen. What you need to do is remove the ice rack then in the front of the freezer you will see 2 or 3 plastic plugs on the freezer floor remove the plugs and there might aso be some 1/4 inch screws farther in on the freezer floor. also remove the back of the back of the freezr and then lift out the bottom floor. under the evaporator you will see a lot of ice or just fod blocing the drain. I will bet its all full of ice. Carefully remove all the ice and hot water will help once you get the buk of it out. The hot water will make sure the drain is not blocked with ice. Once its al clear install in the reverse order and things should be good. This is a common problem with this unit.Good Luck
It sounds like you have punctured the evaporator coil and it is leaking refridgerant.
That would certainly cause the unit to be low on refridgerant which would cause it to start warming up, and becoming louder. It would also explain the smell.
If the unit is fairly new it *may be worth repairing, You will likely need a new coil.
Expect costs in the 300 to 500 range.
I reccomend getting a secondary place to store the food, and unplugging the unit emediatly if you want to have it repaired.
The reason for that is because the compressor is likely undamaged at this point. but if it runs on empty it will soon fail and then you can double the repair price or more.
my refridgerator seems to be workin the freezer is getting cold but not freezing its a top freezer bottom refridgerator the fan in the freezer is also not workin.i had atec come out to check it out. supposedly theres a capasitor that sits next to the compressor that he told me was bad an had to be ordered.its got 2 wires that come off the compressor that plug into this lil box.my question is could this be why my freezer is not freezing an also why the fan inside the freezer is not workin?
