I have taken mine to several jewlers who would not touch it. I really liked this watch, but it is no good to me if I cannot wear it.I have taken mine to several jewlers who would not touch it. I really liked this watch, but it is no good to me if I cannot wear it.
Yes the battery can be changed, will need sent from jeweler to a watch maker. The watchmaker has to remove the crystal, hands and face in order to change the battery. It usually cost around 75.00 to 100.00 dollarsYes the battery can be changed, will need sent from jeweler to a watch maker. Hello, i just turned my softwatch in for a batterie change, since my model has no screw on the backside, the jewler had to remove the glass in order to change the batterie. It went all right and cost 7 Euros

I've heard that the Softwatch by Exaequo watch batteries can be changed by Gold-N-Time Inc. watch shop in Washington, D.C. to change the battery--they did a great job!
A jeweler in Oklahoma City I have traded with for over 30 years can change the soft watch battery (he did mine). Mail in and free mail back for $20. R & R Estate Jewelers, web site www.rrestatejewelers.com

Black display, battery is ok. But, if you open it, pull out mechanism and look at screen and push time/date button in some dark place you will see that they are still running but without backlite. As i know it cannot be repaired.
Hi. It has silicone oil in it. To tolerate diving to that depth the watch is capable. It is normal, but if the silicone has to be completed if some leaked. Take it to the repair service. Best regards!!!!!!
mcdevito75 here, Battery usually lasts 1 year and longer, even if you did change the battery yourself now, you"d forget for a year or even longer next time battery needeed to be changed, I know I did. Add to this you can easily destroy your watch with in-correct handleing. BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for this battery change $10--$15.00 and peace of mind.
Many people replace their own batteries but some of them have problems with replacing the backs and finding (for some unknown reason) the watch no longer works!
I advise you to take your watch to your nearest authorized dealer and ask them to do it for
you.
You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is
not worth the risk for the small cost saving in doing it yourself.
Maybe you can try above link to contact Swiss Wenger for the repair of your watch. It's best to send your valuable watch to its Authorized Dealer for repair.
there usually is an AC contact point to reset digital watches. Touching the + and the ac point with a conductive wire usually resets the watch. Not sure about the spring- I'm not going to open my Tissot up unless I have to.
