Hi. Check to make sure the needle is in correctly. There is a flat side on the needle shank and that has to be facing a particular way. For most modern machines, the flat side of the needle faces to the rear, away from you, but it's always a good idea to check the manual to make sure on your machine. If the needle is bent, that can cause the same thing, but it's almost always that the needle is in wrong.

I have a Janome sewing machine. There is a problem when i try to draw up the bottom thread from the bobbin. The needle doesnt go through the hole to catch the thread at the bottom

Please elaborate. Is the needle hitting the needle plate so it cannot reach the bobbin thread, or is the needle simply not moving down into the lower position?

My janome magnolia was working just fine and then all of the sudden the bobbin thread keeps knotting up. i've gone over all troubleshooting, cleaned out the lint, replaced the bobbin - all to no avail......

This happened to me on several occasions and finally one service tech told me not to use the needle down auto button. Instead when threading the bobbin just move the wheel toward you slowly until the thread catches.

How do I put cotton on machine

Paul... youtube it.... It's really not difficult. Have to load bobbin with thread first... install bobbin (under the needle plate in its holder) thread cotton from top of machine through the correct catch points to the needle.... catch the thread from the bobbin..... pull threads under pressure foot (but look in youtube... loads of vids)

I have a Janome Memory Craft 4900. I broke a needle while sewing in a zipper. I replaced the needle, but now the machine makes a medal scraping noise when I sew. I took off the needle plate and bobbin...

did you find the tip of the needle? Also you may have a nick in the metal where the needle hit and broke. It can catch on other parts and need to be sanded or replaced. One time I had this issue and I found the tiny broken tip under my bobbin case.

Janome 3000 bobbin thread will not catch. It just quit while I was sewing. I've cleaned the bobbin case and anything else I could but when I put the needle down the thread does not circle the b

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
make sure to use every thread guide
make sure the bobbin is not over wound
make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case
make sure the bobbin is not warped or damaged
if you've done all these things then it's also possible that the machine
is out of time & needs to be checked at a repair shop

Bird nest when trying to sew. Under material by bobbin - tried changing needle, bobbin. Tension - no change to the problem from Auto for regular sewing to 2 for embroidery

i think you have something catch on the tension guides. Try to clean out anything you can see and pull a thread towards the needle. I have done this with a small knot to snare anything but be gentle. Also, rethread carefully.
Try cleaning the bobbin case too

Every 4 or 5 stitches the bobbin thread fails to catch the top thread resulting in skipped stitches

double check needle position and needle type. It will also do this on stretchy material, do to material catching on the thread

Problem sitching

I had this problem when I mixed my singer bobbins with my Janome bobbins. Are you using flat bobbins or rounded ones? If they are rounded, they are your problem. Only flat bobbins work in Janome machines.
