The first thing I check is the electric plug at the wall outlet to make sure I have 220 volts you will need a electric test meter If you are not comfortable with this you need to get a licensed electrician, with a ohm meter you can check the limit switches and the door switch with the power off at the breaker. one of the 110 circuits run the motor the other the element.

Where is the fuse on thr asko t712 dryer?

Look in the centre of the back of the dryer for a black rubber seal and press the seal in until you hear a click (this may not apply to your particular model of ASKO dryer). If you are lucky the circuit breaker has done it's job and saved your dryer, otherwise it has been badly damaged and will need electronic repairs to the control board.

My Asko T7781c dryer programme panel is dead. The mains switch turns on but nothing else functions. There is no reset button ; the dryer did not reset itself. A new circuit board at $300+ ?

On the back of the dryer, there should be two fuses in black or grey holders. Should be round knurrled caps or slotted holders. Check these. The fuse holders could also be overheated and burnt.
Is your dryer plugged into the washer for power? Or directly into a outlet in the wall.

It seems that the main board, the program controller unit is a suspect and to confirm you need to remove the customer control panel and check . Check the +5 to the processor, check the connectors and the power supply, check for leak in the storage electronic capacitors, check for faulty voltage to the control board.- check rectifier and regulators.
If not the fault can be the processor which must be confirmed with a data check or oscillations of the crystal.

Asko D1796 has no power. When the main power switch is activated, there is now power being sent to the control system buttons or their LEDs. I checked the outlet and there is AC power present in the...

It is possible that the main controller unit is fault as it has failed to work if there is power to the unit. If not the main power line must be checked from the switch as a continuity test will confirm if there is any break or fault in the switch.
If not the power section of the main controller unit is faulty and in most cases this must be replaced as a full board.

Turned on at main switch but no power when switched on.

there are 2 cartridge fuses located behind the dryer where the main power cord enters the unit, you need to unplug the unit, then unscrew the two black round fuse holders to access the fuses they are 15 amp at 250 volts a.c. ceramic fuses

My Kenmore Elite, Model 11062042100, has been working fine but now the control panel is totally dead. The interior light is working, so I know it is getting power. Any ideas? Thanks!Shaun

OK, if you are certain that the unit is receiving a power current, this will most defiantly confirm a major chip fault in in the main control board.

Try to wake the control by cutting the power to the unit for 5 minutes. if the damage isn't severe, this will either, reset the program or, render and error code. if both do not appear and the control remains blank or dead, after the reset, replace the main control board.

YOUR DRYER Has a fuse in it look for it probably somewhere close to where the main power comes in at. if it's good check the heat relay contactor assembly. www.repairclinic.com has the model you have and it may even be as simple as the door switch
