Northgate not booting correctly from HD

The computer will start, and goes to "sorry for the inconvience" window,
I have tried starting in all modes normal. last good config. safe mode etc
even went into bios and loaded fail safe defaults, but has done no good. I do not have the recovery CD, it was lost, I am assuming there is a HD problem and need to boot from cd to recover. How can I get a disk for this product?

If you can't get it to boot from last known config, safe mode, or anything else, you won't get it to boot from CD. Sounds to me as if the HD has failed.

My ASUS Eee PC 1000HE Netbook keeps coming up in the sorry for the inconvience thing when i cloick start normally it acts like it will start up, but ends up going back to the sorry for the inconvience...

I would try to boot up in safe mode, then download glary utilities which is a free registry cleaner. Also doing a windows update would also be a good idea.

Will not boot

It can have boot virus and when booting it finds your antivirus soft and if cant stop antivirus then calls "crash" screens, also sometimes real crashes heppened vith driver incompatible or incorrect parameter stored. If you have any LIVE Windows CD or linux boot from it anc check for viruses, also make disk check with disk utility. If not corrected windows must be reinstalled. If you havent try try "last good known configuration " from bootup screen, to call boot press F8.

Non-stop loading screen

Sounds like it might be a hard drive problem. First, you may want to try a reinstall of the operating system (booting just from the CD), or also attempt a diagnostic (F12 at Dell Logo). If the first does not work, or if the drive fails diagnostics, you will need to replace it

PC will not boot.

go to windows start menu and click on RUN. type in "msconfig'' without quotation marks and click enter. the computer will load the system configuration utility, on the general tab, select normal startup option, then click on the BOOT.INI tab the click on CHECK ALL BOOT PATHS,a dialog box will appear to tell you whether the windows boot directory is OK or not. if it displays that they are Okay, then there may be that a virus has affected those files. you ca also type in "sigverif" without quotation marks, on RUN to launch the windows file verification, click on start to check important windows files for their correct version. try restarting the computer. if your system still can boot, open the computer case to make sure that the hard drive, and RAM are connected correctly. if you still having problems, notify me.

Windows does not start successfully

Hello,
Boot to safe mode. Then log in as administrator. Open My Computer, rightclick on C drive. Click properties. Select Tools and then click Error Checking. Select (Automatically fix file system errors) and then click start.

It will ask that you restart the computer. Upon restart it will run a check disk and if there are any file system error that may be affecting your boot up problem, it will fix them. If that was the problem, it should start up after this process. If not then let me know so we can try something else.

Thanks,
Lolita
