Hi there!

Well there can be several different reasons for this problem, check your wifi reciever condition, if its builded in like you provide your question generated for pc laptops, then check is it properly turned on, check settings releated with bluetooth, since those wifi's usually have bluetooth connection with wifi's.

Then at the end you really should check that wifi signal antenna, and settings with that wifi, because that could be problem aswell.

I think its the frequency setting in either u r wifi router or your laptop or both. Frequency should be identical on both units.

Remove the network from the preferred network list which can be found in control panel.
Then try to connect it oncemore.

If u can tell me the OS, i can help u in locating the preferred network list in control panel.

Detecting wireless network but will not connect.

1.check our IP
2.check the field strength meter of wifi that our receive, 2 or 3 bar sometimes only detect butcannot connect
basicaly nedd tansmit and receive for connect
MAYBE, just maybe, our wifi transmiter doest work (perhaps because its not set to full strength-maybe) or just broken.

if you are on a wifi zone it must be detected by your laptop if not maybe your network connection setting for detecting wifi is off. try changing the settings of your network connection. and change it to auto detect the network connections

Press and hold fn and at the same time press the f2 button which has a wifi or 2 screens logo with a signal picture to sswitch wifi on.When it detects a wifi signal or says wifi detected just click the message and using your login and password connect to your network name.
