We have canon ir 2200 in office. We connected it on a LAN office like a network printer with IP address. We can ping ir 2200 from computer and vice versa. When I send document to print, on ir 2200 display I can see that it received it, and in System monitoring/Log everything is OK for that document, but there's no paper coming out. I installed driver's for printer, I have paper in paper tray...but nothing happens. Please help me about this issue.
Go to run prompt on client end and typ \\ip add of main pc where ur printer actually connected nd then u will get shared printer on display, u will get shared icon of ur network printer right click there nd connect it .... if it doesnt show any problem to connect it will work nicely ...........

Print a configuration page. Look for the IP address under Network. Type that IP address in your web browser address and press enter. That should bring you to the printers internal web server settings.
Hi Kumar,
You can modify or change port in the printer driver to connect it through LAN cable. Please notice whether you use static or dynamic ip address. Please follow below step.
In the following step we will modify your existing USB connection. Check it out!
Step:
Open printer driver list.
Right click on the printer drive name (e.g Canon IR2270).
Select Properties.
Click Ports tab.
Click Add Port, then select Standard TCP/IP Port.
Click New Port.
Click Next on add port wizard menu.
Type IP Address (for static ip setting) or Printer Name (DHCP), then click Next (computer will search the printer).
When the printer has been found, finish the wizard.
Close Add Port menu.
Now you have new port represented by IP Address or Printer Name (with checked box active) in port list .
Click Apply.
Bingo! Now your printer ready to print via LAN. Sometimes printing right after setting this new port not always succeed. Don't be panic. Restart both of printer and the computer.
Next time you want to connect the printer via USB port so you change port back to USB. Just simply check on the check box next to USB Port in port list and click apply. You may need to restart both printer and computer too :)
Many printers will not scan over a network, even when they are supposed to. Try connect to it with a standard USB cable and scan to PC directly. If that doesn't work - you have probably got a faulty scanner.
If the scanner works OK directly to a printer, then your issue is either LAN/WLAN bandwidth or an unstable IP address. Try fixing the IP Address rather than running DHCP address allocation eg set it at 192.168.x.150 where x is the range value for your network. Then set the printer port address on your devices to the same values and try again.
Network settings are in the additional functions> system settting > network settings. If your printing to the copier the ip address should be there in the network settings.
You need to hook an ethernet cable into your network. You could get a wireless router to extend another one and connect via ethernet into that if you prefer.
For setting up network settings, do you have the Network Guide?
Go to page 2-11 and follow the instructions there.
You can click the DHCP icon and hopefully you'll get an IP address etc. (you may have to restart using switch on right hand side of copier to turn off, wait a while then turn back on). Once you have an IP address click on the DHCP icon again to make sure it's not filled in with black and save settings.
IP address must be in same range as other devices on your network e.g 192.168.1.x or 192.168.0.x (only specify a number for x between 1 and 254, must not be used by another device). Subnet mask must be same as for other devices. It's probably 255.255.255.0
Canon Network ScanGear 2.21 (don't get the colour version) can be found on the Canon website (google it). Instructions for scanning are in the manual included with the download.
First of all you must have a local network hub.Connect your network hub with your computer and the Ir 2800,your IR have to be equip with a network card.(If only have to connect one computer and your computer is not connected to a LAN network, you can use a cross-over cable connected directly from the computer to the IR machine.Give your computer a ip address by right clicing on the local LAN select properties and select internet protocol ver 4,and select a ip address. If your computer is already connected to a network, dont change the ip address go to command prompt tipe in ipconfig/all.This dos command will show you what the ip address is of your computer.
Example the ip address is 192.168.1.10,Select a ip address for your IR by changing the last class to any number. But you must make sure this ip is not in use, lets say you select 25.In the command prompt tipe :ping 192.168.1.25.If you get a reply, dont use the number.Select a number untill you dont get a reply and a time out response.
Now use this IP address and program it on the IR2800 under additional funcktion system setings, network settings,TCP IP settings.
Switch the machine off for a minute and switch it back on.
Now load the printer drivers of the IR and add the port you selected.
Restart the computer,
And print to your computer.
If you have any trouble along the way, just send me a note
For an effective wireless connection, the printer should be connected to one of the LAN ports of a configured wireless router. This way, every pc(mostly laptops with wireless capability) can print to the printer. You will need a wireless adapter for desktop pcs to access any resource made available wirelessly ok. Good luck
First, plug the printer into the network with an Ethernet cable. Then, go into the configuration page on the printer's display and print a configuration page. Look for the IP address. When you have that, go to the computers that need to connect to the printer. (Note that this tutorial is for Windows XP, I am not familiar with Vista but this should give you a basic overview.) Go to Start > Printers and Faxes. Click add a printer on the left hand side of the window. Select a Local printer attached to this computer, and unselect automatically detect. On the next page, click create a new port > TCP/IP port. Type in the IP address of the printer. Then choose the driver you are going to use, you should be able to find the IR 2200 driver under canon pretty easily. If not, go to canon.com and download their drivers. Once you do this, print a test page and it should print. You are then fully configured.
give the same class ip address to your printe and computer and install ms office soft ware, and then microsoft tools click that we find the microsoft document scanning create shortcut to the desktop. ping the printer for computer run the network scan gear and click on the ip, enter the ip address in the blocks and then the discover. then scan the document for the ir 3300 scanner.
Is this attached to a printer server?
