RCA D52W135D shuts off then re-starts. You can watch tv fine for days then the tv will shut off, and try to turn back on twice. after 5 minutes or so the tv will work again but shut off more frequently 3-5 minutes of run time. Always shuts off and tries to turn back on.

my rca 52 projection tv started to shut off on its own after some research I pulled the main board and replaced three capacetors that looked suspect replaced board and tv worked fine for 3 days and went out again any suggestion.
Ours used to do that - and then we moved it to another state with us. Since the move it doesn't shut itself off anymore. I suspect that the problem was dirt and dust inside which got knocked loose in the move and the shutdown was due to thermal limits being exceeded. You may want to try vacuuming or blowing out the dust inside if you feel comfortable opening up the unit.
