Steam nozzle not working

When the steam knob is turned on, steam is not generated through the nozzle.
When the dispense hot water button is pressed, water is not expelled through the nozzle. However, some water runs from the area behind where coffee is dispensed.
Possible blockage?

Hi
You probably have 2 problems.
1. You have a stuck solenoid for hot water and steamer.
2. You have bad o-ring's on you hoses going to the steam boiler and solenoid.
The o-rings are easy to fix but the solenoid is harder and has to either be taken apart and cleaned or replaced.
Your water hardness is probably to low and you are not descaling enough.
This would prevent these problems.

Check the end of the steam valve, if that is not blocked, check where the wand connects to the valve, on some models they inserted a teflon piece that was supposed to hep the machine with steaming but that gets blocked, remove and throw away.

Hello The lights on the front of the machine wont stop flashing so I can't press the cup symbols to make coffee. The hot water is coming out though through the steamer spout. Thanks!

Circuit Priming
When the machine operates for the first time and when
all the water has been dispensed, the machine circuit
needs priming. In this case, the 4 buttons of the control
panel will flash at the same time.
• Press the ON/OFF button . The 4 buttons will
flash.
• Place a container under the cappuccinatore.
• Open the "hot water/steam" knob by turning
it anticlockwise.
• Press the hot water button.
• Wait for water dispensing to stop.
• Close the "hot water/steam" knob by turning it
clockwise. Remove the container.
When the first priming ends, the warming up
starts. Before brewing coffee, water and steam,
please wait for lights 15 and 16 to be permanently on.
The machine is now ready to brew coffee and dispense
steam. Please see related sections for operating details.
Note: if priming is not completed, the 4 buttons
will keep on fl ashing. The machine cannot be
used.

Ventilate!....shows in window and machine will not ventilate when knob is opened. it has regularly been de-scaled but we do live in a hard-water area.

Generally you can clear the ventilate error by pressing the button for Hot Water and then opening the steam knob. You should hear the pump run and water should start to flow from the steam wand. If it doesn't, try removing the frother nozzle so just the chrome pipe is showing.

To remove the frother nozzle you slide the outer sleeve off, and then grip the nozzle with one hand while twisting the cap to loosen it. Then it should slide off the metal steam pipe. Or you can check that the tip of the nozzle isn't clogged.

If you have the frother removed and the steam pipe is definitely open and not clogged and you still hear the pump running but no water is coming out, the next step is to prime the pump.

If you still have the squeeze bulb pump that came with the machine, you can use that - or if you don't have it, a turkey baster will work. You want to take the water tank off and set it aside, then pump water into the valve in the center where the tank had been sitting. You choose "Hot Water" and open the steam valve so the pump starts and then pump water into that valve with the Turkey Baster. You should hear the pump catch and start to move the water - when this happens immediately close the steam valve so the pump stops - then replace the water tank (filled with water please) and open the steam valve again and let water run out of the steam wand for several seconds.

That should clear the ventilate message.

The machine screen reads "ventilate". I open the knob of hot water but it doesn't fix it. What should I do?

Press the button to switch from steam to hot water, then push in on button, if that works then the tap rod assembly needs to be replaced, also check the ens of the steam nozzle, male sure it is not blocked.

Francis francis milk steamer not operating

Check the end/nozzle of the steam wand, if you open the wand and while getting nothing it is hot, then the nozzle is blocked use a paperclip to clear the hole at the end of tip. If you have done this already and still no steam then it is clogged where the steam valve connects to the boiler.

How do I descale the saeco magic deluxe coffee machine?

Hi,

Try this:

Standard descaling
Switch off the machine.
Pour a descaling product into the water tank.
Switch the machine on to the programming mode(see below). Place a large container under the steam/hot water dispensing tube and open the steam/hot water knob slowly, turning it counterclockwise.
Turn on the machine by pressing the main switch and let the descaling product flow out of the dispensing tube for approx. 1 min.
Close the knob again.
Turn off the machine with the main switch and let the solution take effect for approx. 5 minutes.
Repeat this procedure two or three times, to allow all of the descaling product in the water tank to flow out of the dispensing tube.
As soon as descaling has been carried out, rinse the tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
Switch on the machine and let fresh water (approx. 2 l) flow out of the steam/hot water dispensing tube in order to rinse away residue.
The machine is now ready for operation.

When the machine is on, the warning light switches off automatically, by pressing the steam selection button for at least 5 seconds.

To enter the programming mode, turn the machine
off with the main switch.
Press steam , espresso coffee and the
main switch at the same time.

Release the buttons.

Hope this will help you.
