Last week my computer crashed down. We can't contact the technician who used to fix our computer. Now we found a new one who can reformat our computer but this time, he installed windows 7. Now, our computer is okay again. But the speakers won't work. Our new technician don't know what is the current problem here. Can you help me? :(

Make sure the speakers are hooked up properly and also that the sound card drivers are installed, you can verify this by going into the device manager. The main speaker wire has to be hooked up to the output of the computer sound card.

If the sound card drivers are installed and the speakers are hooked up properly and your still not getting sound, try the speakers on another computer that you know has sound. If the speakers work then its a sound card driver issue on the original computer. If the speakers don't work on another computer then you know the speakers are bad.

How to set subwoofer on lenovo ideapad y510?

System crashes may result to data corruption. Reinstalling the audio drivers for your computer will make your speakers work again. Follow the steps:
- go to consumersupport.lenovo.com
- select region and language
- enter your laptop serial number under option 1 and click search
- scroll down to "Audio Section"
- select the best applicable driver for your system according to your Windows Operating System and download it
- run the drivers after the download
- it may require you to restart your computer, if it does confirm to it

That should fix the the error..

System crashes

1. Your OS has become corrupt! Either you have to format your system OR you can try System Restore.

2. Restart your system and press F8/F9 during booting continuously.

3. Select 'Last Known Good Configuration' option from the list.

4. System will restart and boot.

I went into "My Computer" and right clicked on the Sansa. I then chose reformat since I already had the files backed up. The Sansa was then reformatted and I was able to add music to my player.

My NV54 went to black screen then grey tried reboot get screen to start up ...loading but nothing comes up. It was shipped to me three weeks ago.

Hi,
Because the machine is new and in warranty i recommend that you contact Gateway to arrange to send it to them for repair. They will take you through a few troubleshooting pointers first before booking it in.
I would not try fixing the problem without help from a Gateway technician as because its new its up to them to deal with and laptops are designed to last at least a year before problems arise but in your case it's three weeks. There is obviously something wrong for it to go down within such a short length of time.

Good luck.

Hard drive.

since that it crashed, it is more practical that you reformat it, rather than buying new one. it is the system crashed not the whole hard disk and there is a great chance of reviving it , you have the recovery disk with you, then better use it than buying.

have a nice day
