Try using Sony Ericssons software update utility to update the firmware or reinstall the existing firmware...
Its available at the Sony Ericsson website, unfortunately the K800 does have quite a few software bugs, white screen of death, black screen, red blinking light, etc...
Please note doing this will delete anything saved on the phone, if you can try using the Mass Storage mode to backup items like images... also if the phone was flash patch unlocked then it will need to be unlocked again

flashing is just like reinstalling your operating system on your computer to bring it back to factory settings
You will need to reflash the phone's firmware to correct this issue on the phone. You can do this online at topsony.com or take the phone to a mobile service center and have that done.

Download it read the instructions and reflash the phone. It will be ok after that.
