Hi,
This could be a couple of things.
First I am assuming that this is a gas dryer.
The most likely is the coils on the gas valve are failing your description of problem is a classic coil failure. However not very likely but this could be the gas valve or the flame sensor.
If I can help you further please let me know. For any further help I will also need an exact model #.

Our Miele Tumble drier (Touchtronic T8013C) dries and heat fine but the 20 minutes and 40 minutes functions do not heat (only the regular drying cycle). Any one has an answer?

i don't know. first guess is regular drying cycle makes predetermined heat levels and sensor that shuts off heat and dryer when it decides clothes are dry. 20/40 minute
choices may be fan only unless there is a manual temperature control that you can set eg. off/low/med/high..

My Bosch Dishwasher is not drying my dishes now. The model number is SHE44C05UC.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it seems that the heating element has failed. The dishwasher uses steam to heat the tub to dry the dishes. I suspect your dishes are also being washed in cold water.

To check this, please run a regular full wash cycle. Allow the washer to fill with water and run for about 10 minutes, then open the door and feel the water temperature in the bottom of the washer. If the water is cold, it's more than likely the heating element has failed.

There are other possible faults which would cause the element not to heat, but these often prevent the dishwasher from completing the cycle. If the water is cold but the dishwasher still drains the water at the end - and completes the cycle - the heating element has probably failed.

Please try this simple test for water temperature and let me know if you need further assistance.

I have a Whirlpool LGN2000PW gas dryer. The dryer will heat up when it is first started and get warm, but after a few minutes it cools right back down. We removed all the duct work in the basement leading...

if it still quits heating after a minute or so then its either a weak cycling thermostat or moisture sensor thermistor, both located on the blower housing, or the moisture sensor bars located near the door opening on the dryer,or it could be a high limit thermostat thats bad on the burner tube itself

Dryer won't dry

Well lets talk about it a minute. The ignitor is ok because it does glow. The flame sensor is ok because the ignitor is working. The only other thing in the circuit is the solenoids. So what goes wrong? Those coils get hot and quit with age.7ecd66c.jpg Replace them and the dryer will come back to life.5dc4e80.jpg

Maytag Neptune gas dryer sense dry time at 99, little or no heat

If this is a gas dryer, I'd suggest an inspection by the gas company or qualified technician. If the jets aren't firing correctly, you are wasting gas and possibly creating a hazard.

Long drying times model #11062712100

Try this and let me know what happens.
TIP OF THE DAY
To reduce the suction draft and drying time your drier and save some cash, remove the lint catcher and take it to the sink. Run water into it, if there is excessive pooling of the water (water not running straight through) then fabric softener is fouling the lint screen. Use a small brush and dish detergent to clean it and then shake off all the water and dry the screen. Remember this tip on future driers and you will make the dryer blower motor last much longer.
