Memory on my mp3 is almost full without any songs on it.

Hello. My problem seems to be that my 2 GB insignia pm3 player doesn't free up memory space that was once used for a song even after a song has been deleted. For example, i just copyed a song on my mp3 and the free memory number got a little lower. But when i deleted the song the free memory stayed the same. So now even though my mp3 has no songs, videos of pictures on it (only the programs that came installed on it and can't be removed, it has 1.85 GB of space taken and only 432 KB avalable. Now i can't copy even one song because it doesn't have enough memory.
Both my pm3 and i know that its being a douche. Please give me any advice on how i can deal with my pm3 player's delusion that something is taking up most of its memory. Thanks so much! I'll write you up a great review if you solve this!

Try this: Connect your MP3 player to your computer. Open "My Computer". You should see your MP3 player connected. Right click on it. Click on FORMAT. This should completely wipe everything on your MP3 player (except for the original necessary files that came on it origianlly). You should then be able to get all of your space back.

1.download the appropriate firmware from Transcend. 2.press and hold reset button for 2 seconds 3.run the firmware updater 4.press and hold "play" button while connecting to system. 5.the updater will detect the player and it will upgrade the firmware.

Help!!!!!

Insignia mp3 players are a little buggy in that they occasionally get file system problems that cause strange things like this to happen. First backup your songs from the mp3 player, and select "erase internal memory". That actually reformats the memory. Then put your songs back on the mp3 player. If it still doesn't work, please advise.

Can't copy songs on to SD 2 gig Card in Sansa e250

the card shows up as a separate drive letter, remember that
when the card is in the player, look for the second drive letter in My Computer and add the songs to it not the first; yes the card will show up in your library on the player only after you have unplugged it and restarted the player.
