Transmitter not turning off or reseting.

I cannot reset, or turn off my transmitter. I've waited a couple of hours trying to make it run out of batteries, but it seems that it does not want to turn off.

Also, when on the light blinks blue and red over and over, in no pattern, just blinking.

  • NoJoBuSu Mar 19, 2008

Sorry, worded it wrong, it already is rapidly flashing, yes it is a bluetooth.

I released it about an hour ago, and it is still rapidly flashing?

Is this a blue tooth headphone..if yes...if it is, hold down the power button until the led rapidly flashes and then relase the button

  • Anonymous Mar 20, 2008

flashing means it is trying to connect to the BT source..keep the pwoer button depressed..this goes both ways when you turn it on or off. Try releaseing the power button when rapidly flashing. it should flash a few more times before turning off..

I went through programing as far as lock recycling but wont go any further

Remote Transmitter Programming NOTE: All keyless entry remote transmitters must be programmed at the same time.
NOTE: Programming (or reprogramming) the keyless entry remote transmitters into the central security module can be accomplished using a diagnostic tool or by carrying out the following steps.
  1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN. If the module has successfully entered program mode, it will lock and then unlock all doors.
  1. Within 20 seconds, press any button on a keyless entry remote transmitter, and the doors will lock and then unlock to confirm that each keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed. Repeat this step for each transmitter.
  1. If the door locks do not respond for any keyless entry remote transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Inspection and Verification.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, or wait up to 20 seconds after Step 2, to exit program mode. If a keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed (or reprogrammed), the doors will lock and unlock one last time to confirm.

I locked my keys in my 06 mercury mariner and i need to reset the code to my car, how can i reset the code?

You must have all remote entry transmitters (maximum of four) available before beginning this procedure. According with the Mariner Owners Manual check this procedure to reprogram the remote entry transmitters:

1. Ensure the vehicle is electronically unlocked.
2. Put the key in the ignition.
3. Turn the key from the 1 (LOCK) position to 3 (RUN).
4. Cycle eight times rapidly (within 10 seconds) between the 1 (LOCK) position and 3 (RUN).
Note: The eighth turn must end in the 3 (RUN) position.
5. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has been activated.
6. Within 20 seconds press any button on the remote entry transmitter.
Note: If more than 20 seconds have passed you will need to start the procedure over again.
7. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that this remote entry transmitter has been programmed.
8. Repeat Step 6 to program each additional remote entry transmitter.
9. Turn the ignition to the 1 (LOCK) position after you have finished programming all of the remote entry transmitters.
10. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has been exited.

Note: If all remote entry transmitters are not present during the programming procedure, the missing transmitters will not work with the vehicle following programming.

Hope helps.

Thermo clock RAR312 not picking up outdoor transmitter temperature. Replaced battery but still nothing.

take a paper clip and reset the reset button located in the battery compartment. Then, try each of the 3 channels until you get a reading in the outside temp field. Wait a good couple of minutes at each channel setting before determining the units are not pairing. Do this with the units side by side for signal acquisition, then once acquired, move the remote sensor outdoors. Hope this helps!

Need to reset the key fob

Sit in the driver's seat
Close all vehicle doors; ignition key should NOT be in the ignition, and ignition should be OFF.
Press and hold UNLOCK on your driver's door lock switch, insert and remove your ignition key TWICE, and insert the key in the ignition; this time LEAVE IT. DO NOT TURN THE KEY!!
LET GO OF THE DOOR SWITCH; listen for 3 dings after which, with the key still in the ignition, you will press and hold both LOCK and UNLOCK AT THE SAME TIME on your transmitter for 12 seconds. or until you hear 2 DINGS which indicate a newly programmed transmitter.

If you wish to use more the one transmitter (4 MAX), press and hold lock and unlock just as the first transmitter.

PULLING OUT THE IGNITION KEY ends this procedure :-) !

Hi. Try a "soft reset." With the RoadTrip and your iPod both on and connected to each other, hold down the Menu button and the center select button for 5-10 seconds until you see an apple on the iPod. Then you can let go and wait for the iPod to restart. Once it's restarted, try playing music and choose a static-only station like you did before. This resets communication between the 2 devices and should fix the problem. Good luck!

Set the keyless entry

TS06 DEC 05 Keyless Entry - Transmitter(s) Inoperative

There was a recall in DEC. 05 for this particular vehicles remote transmitter system....though im not sure if they would do service free of charge now...

Moving along...if you have no working transmitter, you have to do the following to get it working again:

* Ensure vehicle audio PIN number is known or audio PIN security system is deactivated prior to battery disconnection.
* Ensure a door is open
* Disconnect the negative battery cable, wait minimum 5 seconds then reconnect
* Within 20 seconds of reconnecting the battery cable, insert the keyin ignition then cycle the ignition key from the "ACC" position to the"ON" position 20 times, leaving the key in the "OFF" position after thetwentieth turn.
* the vehicle's indicators will flash 20 times to indicate successfulentry. NOTE: Should the indicators fail to flash, wait 5 seconds thenquickly turn the ignition switch from the "ACC" to "ON" position 10times, leave the ignition "OFF" after the 10th turn and wait 15 secondsthen recycle the ignition switch 20 times.
* the vehicle's indicators will flash 20 times to indicate successful entry.
* within 10 seconds of the indicators having ceased flashing, press the button once on each transmitter.
* turn the ignition key to the "ON" position to lock in and exit from the programming mode.

And if you have even 1 transmitter that does work, its not nearly as difficult:

* ensure a door is open
* remove key from ignition
* lock the doors using the transmitter
* unlock the doors using the transmitter

Within 20 seconds of unlocking, insert key in ignition, turn theignition key from the "ACC" position to the "ON" position 20 times, leaving the key in the "OFF" position after the twentieth turn.

The vehicle's indicators will flash 20 times to indicate successful entry.

Within 10 seconds of the indicators having ceased flashing, press thebutton once on each transmitter. Once finished, turn the ignition keyto the "ON" position to lock in and exit from the programming mode.

Hope this helped,

Dip switch settings

I've had the same problem w/ light turning on/off. Called customer support and 3x waited 6 minutes to leave message and get no call back. Finally got a human and she told me to change code in receiver and transmitter. This was no easy task as the fan is very high up and the stupid thing needs to come down to adjust the receiver. Changed the setting and it worked for two days until it started back with the lights turning on at all hours. I noticed there's a toggle switch in the remote that is not explained in the manual. It says CFL on one side and INC on the other. The light will NOT dim if it's in CFL and tonight is the first time I've switched it to that setting. I'm hoping this is some kind of lockout for random signals going out of the remote...It would be nice to have a proper explanation in the manual. I should have gone with another Casablanca fan--Hunter products are lame.
